Why Fresno County Should Be Your Next Event Destination

Location, Location, Location

Centrally located in California, Fresno County allows attendees from either side of the state to conveniently meet in the middle. A newly renovated, international airport allows easy access for out-of-state guests.

Are your attendees a thrill-seeking bunch? Fresno County is the only metropolitan hub in California centered between three national parks—Yosemite, Kings Canyon and Sequoia, ideal for pre- and post-conference leisure travel. Guests may be inspired by the world-renowned views of Yosemite, and witness the breathtaking views of the world’s largest trees.

Accommodations

Fresno County has nearly 90 hotels and motels, offering a total of more than 10,000 hotel rooms, as well as numerous meeting spaces, including the spacious Fresno Convention & Entertainment Center.

Culture

The county is comprised of 15 thriving cities, offering everything from wine tasting along the Fresno County Wine Journey with scenic, calming views, to one-of-a-kind experiences, like touring the Forestiere Underground Gardens—a historic subterranean home built and carved underground, complete with fruit trees growing within the quarters.

Guests may take a seat at one of the area’s many theaters, explore the rising art scene, take a stroll through the Shinzen Japanese Gardens, wander through the plethora of farmer’s markets, or hunt for antiques and locally made goods in Old Town Clovis.

Fresno County is a foodie wonderland with freshly made farm-to-table cuisine and eateries offering food with influences from all around the world. The tacos are so tasty visitors will be finding a way to pack them in their suitcases, along with the locals’ favorite savory tri-tip sandwiches.

The area has an abundance of unparalleled dining experiences, like at School House Restaurant & Tavern, tucked in the countryside, serving award-winning meals in a brick schoolhouse built nearly 100 years ago.

Flexibility

Metropolitan amenities without the big city cost. Fresno County welcomes any budget, boasting many unique venue options and accommodations. Also anticipate lower rates when figuring in services such as catering, photography and other event-centric services.

Weather

Offering close to 300 days of sunshine per year, guests are able to maximize their time exploring the area and minimize travel delays due to weather.

Maximize Meeting Time

Attendees are able to spend more time in meetings and less time behind the wheel, with typically minimal rush-hour drive times. Even when driving across Fresno, or to neighboring cities within Fresno County, drive time is a comfortable 15 to 20 minutes; easy access allows for more lodging options and/or meeting locations.
