I agree, I think he should a one-club player at Richmond, but if he was to leave l believe the Giants are the perfect fit rather than the Gold Coast for example.

Good point, maybe if Richmond payed some of his salary it could be a win win situation for both teams, if the tigers want to get some more young guns in.

Fair enough, it certainly would not help their salary cap at the giants. Under Adam Kingsley they seem to be building a strong culture at the club with signings such as Harry Himmelberg.

Victorian state cricket certainly did in the BBL, with the Melbourne Renegades after they lost there independence.

Victoria, SA and NSW in my opinion have taken it too far in bringing a heap of young talent who haven’t earned their spot on merit. This is leading too uncompetitive seasons which is quite hard to watch at times.

I agree, I believe the young talent will come good, but is it worth comprising competitions like the Sheffield Shield. The states need to find a better way of balancing youth and experience not just putting them all at once.

Yeah l don’t even believe the ICC know where world cricket is going in the near future which is pretty concerning considering they are the ones in charge. They should try invest some of the money made from franchise leagues to give to these Nations.

Narine was just an example, the recent ICC World Cup qualifying games have shown are badly standards are at the moment. Fielding and leadership are at there lowest.

Absolutely, the ICC should definitely invest much needed resources back into the poorer Nations, especially if they want to continue to grow the game.

For St.Kilda I feel Brad Crouch is a little bit overhyped. Absolutely loved his effort with 17 tackles, but was rewarded with no coaches votes and only six for the season. I don’t believe his ball use stacks up compared to elite mids in the comp. For me l think Jade Gresham is the guy to step up and would love to see him up the ground a little bit more.

I agree, I don’t think Broad, Anderson and Robinson is the right mix. That extra pace does wonders against opposition batsman and would suit the short ball tactics. I’m extremely surprised tongue has been left out he was the pick of their bowling lineup in the second test.

I agree, l think both sides will choose this method for the 3rd test. I was staggered Mark Wood wasn’t selected for the first test and l believe England have butchered themselves in selection again. Last Ashes at the Gabba England chose not to play Anderson and Broad on a green top.

For me if Mark Wood was bowling in the second innings Australia would have lost that game.

Yeah winning the first test was massive for the Aussies. Will be interested to see how the veteran bowlers recover for the second test at Lords.

Yeah Stokes definitely was not running in 100 percent but credit to him to stepping up when his team needed him. With the series squeezed in just over a month these banged bodies will struggle. That’s where the Aussies might have the edge.

Root certainly bowled well economically and held down one end nicely possibly could be the main spinner. Bairstow opening would make sense, but Duckett deserves another test.

Impressed with Todd Marshall, l thought he had a great night. Enjoyed him going up the ground and his ability to kick the ball well to the advantage of his fellow forwards. Might not get a lot of ball, but when he does he’s effective.

Fair enough, l feel like Bancroft was left out prematurely after the sandpaper series. I think Harris has had plenty of chances including after the sandpaper series, back end of 2019 Ashes and start of 2021 Ashes. Unfortunately he hasn’t found the ability to get big scores at test level.

Swans have been incredibly unlucky without the McCartin brothers in defence. It’s not the number of outs that are hurting the swans depth it’s the key position outs as well.

Not sure how England are going to win without a genuine spinner. Moeen Ali has not played test since 2021, barely bowling in the IPL. If they want to make flat pitches then good luck against Nathan Lyon.

Good question, l think culture is the most important to any sporting team, but at the same time you need the cattle as well. Culture over talent any day though that wins you titles.

Once Warner, Khawaja, Smith and starc eventually retire from test cricket it will be jhye richardson, Morris, Wyllie and Hardie to lead to Australia’s next wave you would think though.
