Australia aren’t just battling South Africa at the SCG – needing to take 20 wickets in three days of play, they’re starting to race the clock to secure their fifth consecutive Test win this summer. Join The Roar for live scores from 10am (AEDT).

An Aussie declaration is looming after two straight days of play were impacted by bad light in Sydney. Usman Khawaja finished Day 2 unbeaten on 195 – whether Pat Cummins allows him to reach his maiden Test double-century remains to be seen.

With the ball, spin twins Nathan Lyon and Ashton Agar will hope to coax some life out of a benign SCG pitch, while Cummins and the returning Josh Hazlewood will take the new ball. The Proteas have just one score in excess of 200 this series, but they’ll back themselves to do better here.
