A cricket fan! Barely workable English comes from listening and watching cricket lol, so my apologies in advance for all the grammatical mistakes and spelling errors I would inevitably be making on this site!. My all-format, all-star, all time cricket xi among those players whom I have seen playing: Adam Gilchrist Saeed anwar Virat kohli Sachin tendullker Mohd yousuf Andrew Flintoff Wasim Akram Mutthaiya muralitharane Shane warne Allan Donald Glenn McGrath. FROM KASHMIR (Kashmir is a huge tourist destination, it has also been given the name "the paradise on earth", although unfortunately half of our land is occupied by pakistan and the remaining half by india. In fact this whole rivalry you see between India and pakistan is on Kashmir, the real bone of contention between the two. Even China has already cut us from the North and our NorthEast and it's intentions are no better. My first languages are Kashmiri and Urdu.

When keeper is about to kick it on goal kick

'A big miss': Poms cop another blow as vice-captain ruled out for series as return looms for Bazball outcast

Finding people relaxed, casual, not in their places right after a last ball of an over takes place is very common. I am a bit uncomfortable catching a batsman off guard at the completion of an over. I am really for Carey who at least deserves a wicket for that smart execution & timing but it being a last ball made it much more of a case where Australia could have withdrawn the appeal than if it was happening during an over in progression

'A big miss': Poms cop another blow as vice-captain ruled out for series as return looms for Bazball outcast

The fact that it was the last ball of that over completely changes the picture and for me it has turned my opinion turtle. If Jonny left his crease looking forward to the next over then Australia must have called him back. For me it’s simple if he was leaving his crease as part of his fidgety habit, and Carey picked up on that and executed it perfectly, i have no problems. For me more than fair. But if Bairstow was leaving his crease just because it was the completion of that over, Australia should have called him back. It’s like keep holding the ball while waiting for batter to leave his crease or like a striker hiding behind the opposition goal in football. For me unfair!

Stuart Broad has just given Pat Cummins a lecture on moral standards. The audacity is gobsmacking

'Bloody oath I would': Head accuses bleating Bairstow of blatant hypocrisy over Ashes flashpoint

The more I watch that footage the more convinced I get that Bairstow was hard done by, especially from the side on angle from off side. It clearly was a kind of gait that was as far as it can get from a cricketing run or stump. I highly doubt he would have lost his wicket had he just put his hand up towards the umpire, sort of getting a permission. We commonly see batsmen doing these quick gestures before leaving their creases to tap on the pitch or to have a word with their partner. Pacing around is a behaviour that comes handy for many people to relieve stress. Bairstow looks to be one among them but while batting he needs to adjust the habit by moving side to side rather than up & down.

Aussies 2-0 up despite sensational Stokes ton as Lord's erupts over run out controversy, cheating accusations

As a neutral I am thankful for all the action, and matches going down to the last hours. For me personally, with my Autistic tendencies to get overtly preoccupied with a single interest, i was going deeper & deeper down the rabbithole of the recent maritime incident where a submersible imploded & never surfaced. However I desperately needed to resurface from the rabbithole and eventually it was test cricket action that was able to divert my attention. Thankyou test cricket!

Aussies 2-0 up despite sensational Stokes ton as Lord's erupts over run out controversy, cheating accusations

Not including the man in dominating mode from few seasons now, Head and super performing all rounder, Green, particularly with no Hazlewood and starc, a debutant in, is inexplicable

'Hard to believe': Steve Waugh stunned by Head case as Aussies collapse, Warner on last legs - Talking Points

The ongoing trend of favourites getting toppled actually favours Socceroos. Gives them more hope anyway.

Good, Bad & Ugly: Enjoy it while it lasts Australia, a spot of schadenfreude and please, FIFA, don't mess with the format

With the sporting talent we generally found in your country qualifying for final 32 is the minimum expectation especially when you are required to compete among asian teams (not natural atheletes) in the qualifiers. People expect you to be at par with Europe and South America in football given the athletic talent found in the country.

ANALYSIS: Another valiant Socceroos defeat means it's time to change the narrative not sit back and hope

That’s what I am saying, people expect you to be at par in football as well given the athletic and sporting talent generally found in the country.

REACTION: 'Welcome to world class football' - French stars destroy 'shy' Socceroos in Cup opener

Australia with such a huge reputation as a great sporting country, amazes me how could they fell so behind when it comes to the most popular sport on the planet. The outlook itself is so hopeless towards the sport, carry such a low opinion of themselves to begin with

Door ajar for Socceroos to pounce on a French side in disarray

Trying to sign off in style Jeff 😊

Party poopers: England smash India, fairytale final hopes in semi-final beatdown, Pakistan awaits

First time I saw a sports team getting literally annihilated on the field.
Muscular Hales muscled his side into the finals, wow.

Shades of '92 deja vu as resurgent Pakistan power past New Zealand into World Cup final

Real uncanny matches
Written off in the first half
Coming back on the back of other teams
Lift themselves when it matters
Get past new zealand in semis while chasing, after losing the toss at Sydney
Will england be the other finalist at Melbourne and pakistan can win again?

Shades of '92 deja vu as resurgent Pakistan power past New Zealand into World Cup final

Why would someone fake his/her
Kashmiri identity on an Australian sports blog website? Huge problem with many Indians is they think world is centred around India. No one gives a f about third world india, kashmir, or pakistan not even in middle east deserts, let alone in the west.
By the way Indian Kashmiris don’t have a problem with india, but it is a cultural thing to have have sympathies with pakistan particularly when ut comes to cricket. This is because of 80s, 90s scenario and since imran Khan’s 1992 success during the peak of insurgency the whole of the valley started becoming fans of pakistani team. The trend continued. People finally realised that India is were their good future lies but continued there fanship with pakistan. India a proud democracy should have been cool with it, but it rather acts as a crybaby and keeps charging Kashmiris with anti national acts just for being a particular sports team fans. Actually our India hasnt matured yet democratically and still is in the cradle with nappies on

King Kohli shines again as India rain over Bangladesh to all but seal T20 World Cup semi-final berth

That way I am only coming close to your school of watching the game. Try and enjoy the longer format, watch the contest between the wood and the leather while overlooking their names, nationality and the results. I can’t allow this circus to hit me hard time and again anymore. I think Aussies were right throughout when they realised very early that it is not something to be taken too seriously.
Talking about the test cricket and your passion for it i hope you have postponed your trip in accordance with the postponement of the test series. See you in the winters i hope! You will certainly relish gulmarg and sonamarg in Jan/feb

Australia's T20 World Cup title defence all but over despite edging out Afghanistan after Starc's surprise axing

Couple of things are now regular patterns, and really annoying ones, for cricket fans of some nations like australia, south africa and pakistan to experience.

Strangely often enough we are seeing their team managements making dumb and odd descisions. Everyone in the country, kids, experts, commentators and even opponents seem to know the obvious decisions that should be made on or off the field except the trio of selection committee, the captain and the coach.

Secondly, unlike before players these days seem to be too much emotionally detached perhaps due to over professionalism, too much money, affluent lifestyles, and thus not being able to relate to the sentiments and demands of their fans. Seeing your players appear so indifferent and still wear smiles after losing games they should have won makes one tear his/her hair out.

Australia's T20 World Cup title defence all but over despite edging out Afghanistan after Starc's surprise axing

My sympathies lie with the spirit of the sport. And I never said India lost deliberately against South Africa, that would be quite a childish claim.
I don’t hate India, I like the country, it’s people, I have no trouble calling myself an Indian. Although since Indian team (bcci) is a strong team, in all senses, i tend to defend the weaker sides and would like to see fair competition and unbiased refreeing of the sport as a cricket fan. India is a brilliant side and it is frustrating to see them act as cry babies and alway as try to take advantage of their huge financial prowess over other playing nations. Also trying to mould the governing body of the sport in every possible aspect is so distasteful, classless, immature and appalling.

Harder or not, resumption was there only chance. The problem is it resumed prematurely, and Shakib’s concerns were overlooked. Normally umpires would err on the cautious side when it is a wet outfield, why not follow the norm when your blue-eyed boys are out there?

King Kohli shines again as India rain over Bangladesh to all but seal T20 World Cup semi-final berth

I ll say RIP CRICKET again. Bangladesh robbed in daylight. Everything was super hastened when ICC realised their masters are falling off short on DL score and match resumed with wet outfield atleast an hour earlier than it should have. It was so wet that to keep their fielders above the ground India had to engage extra men on the line to wipe muck off their shoes. Post resumption Bangladesh immediately payed the price when it’s most dominating and set batter slipped, hurted himself, slipped again and got runout. This is an absolute mockery of the sport. ICC an obvious sellout can’t do anything, ECB and ACB are hesitant to intervene. It is better to bid goodbye to this circus.
