England, as against the Matildas, looked average in defence. More so tonight. Some felt their defence against the Tillies was perfect. It was far from it and cost them tonight, as I suspected.

Spain, well… they were wonderful in both attack and defence tonight. Worthy winners.

I don’t think so. My understanding is you can spend whatever you like on that stuff. The problem is, when you hit the soft cap, there is an 80% tax. That tax goes back to the other clubs.

If that went to charity, I’m sure the Eagles wouldn’t care.

I don’t think it would be an issue for the Eagles, but the soft cap tax goes back to the other clubs. If that didn’t occur, I don’t think they’d mind. But, when your money is going back to the other clubs, it doesn’t make sense to break the soft cap.

Probably not Ed, but it’s possible they’ve spoken with someone else who has then passed it onto Ed.

Leaks occur for a reason. Some are true, others…. not so.

In this case, Eddie doesn’t have a great track record for breaking stories. If it was coming from Caro, it would hold more weight.

It doesn’t, so I don’t hold much credence in what has been said.
