Round 16 begins with a blockbuster at the Gabba, as Richmond head north looking to continue their surge towards the top eight against the powerful Brisbane. Join The Roar for live scores and commentary from 7:20pm (AEST).

The Lions sit third on the ladder and look every inch a premiership contender, especially at their Gabba fortress.

They haven’t lost at home since Round 23 last year, a streak which includes their thrilling elimination final win over the Tigers last year, and will be confident in continuing their unbeaten run in 2023.

The Tigers, meanwhile, are back in business; since Damien Hardwick resigned, caretaker coach Andrew McQualter has led them to three wins in four games, including an impressive victory on the road against Fremantle.

With Marlion Pickett back in the team after a one-week absence following the pressing of charges by WA police, the Tigers have a strong enough team to cause an upset and move ever closer to an unlikely finals berth.
