Summary

Dabble is a relatively new bookmaker in the Aussie landscape, with potential to shift the way people punt. Offering the ability to follow friends, experts and tipsters as well as copy their bets, Dabble is a new take on 'social betting'. The app is slick (although there is no website, only the app) and offers a good range of racing and sports markets at competitive prices. Overall, Dabble is worth trying out as a new option, particularly if you're into the social aspect and banter around punting.

Summary

A betting exchange where you’re actually betting against other punters. You can set your own prices and hope someone else takes the bet. You can ‘back’ a bet – bet on a winner, or you can ‘lay’ a bet – bet that it won’t win, something unique to Betfair where you're essentially playing the role of bookmaker. When Betfair launched it was a revolutionary addition to the betting industry. Betfair definitely has it’s pros and cons, the upside being that it can provide punters with a lot more value as well as a lot more control – the downside, is that most people who bet recreationally for fun often don’t take the time to learn how to use an exchange, or even know what one is. Betfair is a must have for any punter willing to put in a little bit of time to learn the basics. It is so different to the average bookmaker and often provides exceptional value for racing and sport even after Betfair takes their commission off your winnings.
