We all get enough of the opinions I don’t agree with – News Corp, all the commercial stations, and increasingly the ABC.

This is certainly my favourite line of yours – There is virtually nowhere we can go now without being confronted with political ranting of one type or another generally slanted in the one direction, which ignores up to 50% of the population.

We all know where the vast majority of the ranting comes from.
Seems you are suggesting everyone is a woke lunatic. Thank God – I’ll be able to sleep tonight.

Indeed – how dare sports people use the platform they are afforded for a very short time to try to make the country a better place. I for one find it virtually impossible to enjoy sports when any of the participants have the nerve to express a political view.

Got a challenge for you two:

Macca – don’t comment on Collingwood for the rest of the year. Just focus all your energy on Carlton.

Pete – same for you with Carlton comments and focusing on the Pies.

Two points –
1. Yes the AFL are very aware of looming lawsuits for players who have ended up with mental health issues due to concussions, possibly due to a lack of care from clubs and the AFL. Please check the cases of domestic abuse and other issues suffered by American gridiron players with proven head trauma injuries.
2. It’s the right thing to do to protect the head of players and put their long term health (and their families, friends, etc) ahead of short term gain to win a game of football.
Not sure how anyone can argue otherwise. Please watch the Mario Fenech special (RL) if you haven’t yet seen it.

Your comments are usually spot on and often very funny, but not sure where you are going with this one. Are you saying the AFL and other sports are being to precious around head knocks and concussion?

Cummins would have bowled the 3 front line quicks even if they were from WA.
You are correct in saying both Marsh and Green should be bowled more.

You are missing the point Macca.
The point was that it’s a bit rich for you to be accusing the Suns of being a shambles when your own club has been a dumpster fire pretty much since the Suns joined the comp.
On the second point, yes guilty as charged. Turning the topic to the Blues gives us Pies supporters a warm fuzzy feeling.
Whenever I’m having a bad day I think of Carlton and before you know it I’m smiling again.

To be fair the poms used to run the world.
Now they are a relatively inconsequential country that has literally destroyed their economy and future through terrible political decisions brought about by a bunch of Eton and Oxford educated chancers like Boris.
And on a cultish crusade to save test cricket they are being beaten by the upstart natives who clearly haven’t read the script.
It’s easy to understand why they are gnashing and wailing about this Bairstow example of further English arrogance and incompetence.
Their world is falling down around them. Have some sympathy for the poor dears.
