For the first time since May, Clarkson will take the reins at the Kangaroos, having taken a leave of absence due to mental health concerns. Since then, despite some promising performances under Brett Ratten, the team is yet to add to its two wins for the season, and will take on the Demons on a 17-game losing streak.
The Demons, meanwhile, just need one slip-up from Port Adelaide and Brisbane each to jump into second on the ladder, and with Clayton Oliver set to return to the team in coming weeks, their premiership chances are beginning to rise.
