Carlton must start as favourites but it would be unwise to underestimate the run of the Swannies. We are still a back man down but our forward line is working for once, MCG is a good ground for the Swans but certainly a blues crowd

Mini-grand finals, Saints' Toby tamer, should Pies play Cox? Five burning questions for AFL Finals Week One

Lets not forget the Swans were three goals up in the third quarter, Dee’s did not have it all their way until the last quarter but agree they are good. Dont right off the Swans if somehow they play 4 quarters for once then there may be tears

Six Points: Meet your new flag favourites, the finals sleeping Giants, and why Sheezel still shouldn't win Rising Star

Agree on GWS and I would rather face Carlton than GWS. The last quarters are killing us, maybe we just run out of petrol.

We stand a good chance against Carlton but no easy games now

Six Points: Meet your new flag favourites, the finals sleeping Giants, and why Sheezel still shouldn't win Rising Star

Agree if the ball travels over the line between the post then its a goal or a point, I see no downside to that.

Six Points: Meet your new flag favourites, the finals sleeping Giants, and why Sheezel still shouldn't win Rising Star

Swannies did not do a lot wrong, still have a lot of young dudes but when the Dees hit full speed they are bloody good. IMO Swans can beat any team in the 8 except dees and pies we are 3 to 4 goals behind them. Dees are going to be hard to beat from here.

Six Points: Meet your new flag favourites, the finals sleeping Giants, and why Sheezel still shouldn't win Rising Star

The best game of the round will be GWS v Carlton. I still have reservations about both teams but you would think the Blues. Swans v Dees will show if the old Swans are back and I think they are, if they are they will have a pretty good run at making up for last years flop, who knows at 21 / 1 odds now. And lucky last Collingwood to lose to Bombers, yep thats a big call but lots of players need a good game for contracts.

The Roar's AFL expert tips and predictions Round 24: How will the Bulldogs let their fans down this week?

Ok if he was a Sturt player then he is definitely a Swan, ha. Go Paul Bagshaw and Rick Schoff

Dawson is a Swan playing in a Crows jumper happy for him to come back and be captain

AFL News: Crows captain's incredible classy response to goal controversy, 'broken' Dogs savaged

Interesting read. Hate to keep ringing the same bell but the AFL is Ports fault. WAFL & SANFL and VFL were all talking about a shared competition until Port tried to join the VFL. From there the AFL is an just an expanded VFL and it will never change. Agree about the MCG and the rule changes are silly, surely there can be a national AFL membership who can vote and that vote must be considered.

To be a member you must be a club member so the sum total of all.

Score review ain’t that bad there have been many of the Adelaide / Crows decisions the problem here was when and the outcomes, if it was first half no one would care.

Crows robbery the latest in a long list of failures by Gill's arrogant AFL

The point / goal crows issue is not new there was one with the Swans earlier in the year when it touched a piece of tape and even one later with GWS. Its not that big a deal unless its the end of the game and the end of the season and changes outcomes for other teams which it did. If this was the first quarter it would be nothing just a sad set of circumstances I feel for Adelaide.

Hewitt with the Swans was an outstanding tagger but left free to roam at Carlton he is far better, happy to take him back on our returns policy

Six Points: The coach killer to end all coach killers, and why score review system will always be imperfect

CT, that is not a dumb idea same with point post

Footy Fix: The Crows were stone cold robbed... but they've only got themselves to blame

Dave taking the match away would be wrong, Sydney played no part in this and may have scored or may have not. I sucks and I bet every team has a story and I promised I would never bring up but the umpiring in the 2016 grand final, the AFL admitted it was wrong so does that mean the Swans are 2016 premiers. 17 frees to 4 at 3/4 time

Footy Fix: The Crows were stone cold robbed... but they've only got themselves to blame

If the Swans can play four quarters they can beat anyone but three just won’t cut it

Footy Fix: The Crows were stone cold robbed... but they've only got themselves to blame

As a Swannie blind feedy could see with my one eye that was a goal, so you must feel for the Crows but the Swans should never have let that happen. Almost back to our best but have a lot of last quarter fades almost like we run out of legs. Surely it can’t be fitness but Swans need to be 50 points up at 3 quarter time, 30 is not enough

Footy Fix: The Crows were stone cold robbed... but they've only got themselves to blame

The power clubs like Geelong, Hawks, Swans, Pies and even West Coast etc have the ability to continually attract and retain the best players which is why they never really reach the bottom for long. The back end of the club plays so much with career options and support for players. The people on their board and funding from supporters and sponsors.

Very hard for a club like St kIlda to compete on the field or off the field, not sure how you ever fix that but as long as it’s not against the Swans hopefully they can keep to together this year.

Are perennial losers St Kilda set to break supporters' hearts again, or is this team different?

In his day Nic Nat was a sight to behold, its has been some time since then so probably a good call. On Hinkley’s succession plan that is about 4 years too late already, regardless of what happens this year its time to refresh, look at the Hawks, Clarkson was out of idea’s

AFL News: Nic Nat, luckless Swan make retirement call, Dogs savaged for 'ridiculous' last-minute howler

The Pies looked very vulnerable early against a not so good opposition almost like they have lost their mojo a bit. Hard to tell who looks good but Dees on the way up, Carlton could do may do, who knows, Port have been found out and Brissie not so good away from home. On the outsiders if the Swans get in they could be a pain in the butt and the Crows are a bit the same. No real winner here but still leaning towards the Dees or Pies.

Footy Fix: No Daicos, no Moore... no better win for Fly's mighty Pies

Cotchin the second biggest diver behind “Joel diver Selwood” but a good player and fair so more power to him

AFL News: Triple-flag captain, reigning Norm Smith Medallist call time, Matildas fever hits the AFL

PD, it’s a tough jump from a 20 touch player to a 30 touch player and he has done it in one season. The Swans have a lot of 20 touch at best players just making up the numbers. Errol seems to be the real deal

Six Points: Defending Daicos' 'dive', the moment that summed up Saints' slide, and why Mitchell is the AFL's best coach

Its great to have a new reason to hate the hawks, they just keep doing this decade after decade.

Footy Fix: If you're not terrified about your team facing the Hawks yet... you should be

Losing Selwood has dropped their free kicks by 18 a day, apparently he is giving dive lessons now. Ha

They've faded too far in 2023 - where to now for Geelong?

Good timing and the right call. Nothing beats being at the SCG after 6 coopers and the crowd goes up for a Buddy goal. He won’t be forgotten, well played Bud

Farewell to Buddy, the greatest player of the 21st century and the game's most awe-inspiring entertainer

It could be argued that Tigers are playing better without Hardwick so not sure if he is the right bloke. I reckon Don Pyke would be the pick of the bunch but hopefully he takes over at the Swans

Six Points: Port's concussion farce, an all time MCG classic, and a day of upsets flips the season on its head

Toby would look great in a Swans jumper, it would match his hair colour Just saying!!!
