I think this is the right call from Essendon they’ve been lacking senior talent and parish is the bombers best bet to win a Brownlow.

AFL News: Bombers lock up Parish, Greene apologises to Weitering for cheeky jab

The issues don’t lie with Zac Merrett. He was the right choice as captain but he can’t put a side on his back. I think you’ve given in to recency bias there Cameron. The Bombers were expected to be a bottom four team this year and they were on the fringes before a catastrophic second half of the year. The bombers need more players who fly the flag yes and it’s not an easy fix but I reckon if stringer can slim down in the pre season the bombers have the perfect opportunity to surge up the ladder

Bruise-free Bombers need to address leadership vacuum before they can get any better

West Coast is financially solvent so they would have to pay out the majority of his contract

Dimma the Sun: Gold Coast unveil triple-premiership Tiger as new coach

Yeah but clubs that are reliant on the afl always have a get out of jail free clause they only have to pay out six months

Dimma the Sun: Gold Coast unveil triple-premiership Tiger as new coach

The Tigers were rancid on Friday night. Admittedly, part of it is due to absences tom Lynch and Dusty are still reasonably important players to their game style. I don’t think mcqualter has cost himself the job but it is more likely that an Adem Yze, Daniel Giansiracusa or even Mark McVeigh can come from the clouds to get the job. Personally I think they should give mark Williams one last role of the dice as he can teach their midfielders how to kick

Footy Fix: The Tigers just killed their season with 2023's most putrid quarter - and it spells doom for McQualter too

I mean yeah I tried to remember the last soft tissue injury tom Hawkins and for the life of me I could not remember

They've faded too far in 2023 - where to now for Geelong?

Recruit more thirty year olds. Dylan Shiel and Dyson Heppell please

Jazz has grown on me over the years, my hearing is not great since multiple bouts of the rona and jazz has grown on me particularly after watching Thunderbolt

AFL issue Power 'please explain' after concussion controversy as pair both fail SCAT5 test

I mean it’s reasonBle to put a concussion czar at afl house where independent medicos make the call in concussion

AFL issue Power 'please explain' after concussion controversy as pair both fail SCAT5 test

Rule 34. Don’t google it.

AFL issue Power 'please explain' after concussion controversy as pair both fail SCAT5 test

Also surely we can figure out a better acronym for concussion tests than SCAT

AFL issue Power 'please explain' after concussion controversy as pair both fail SCAT5 test

Kick them out of finals. The afl need to come down hard on such behaviour.

AFL issue Power 'please explain' after concussion controversy as pair both fail SCAT5 test

Yeah because concussive knocks are bad but it’s the repeat sub concussive head knocks that play a big role in CTE it’s not a lot of fun

Six Points: Port's concussion farce, an all time MCG classic, and a day of upsets flips the season on its head

I wouldn’t go as far as to say vindicated. Flanders is certainly flourishing but he is but one example. You gotta remember before he was sacked he was on track to at least equal Gold Coast’s best ever season

Six Points: Port's concussion farce, an all time MCG classic, and a day of upsets flips the season on its head

I just think every club but Essendon are tanking and thus must be removed from the draft

Six Points: Port's concussion farce, an all time MCG classic, and a day of upsets flips the season on its head

Yeah that’s the thing about concussion it doesn’t always show up immediately it’s why they have a twenty minute pause

Six Points: Port's concussion farce, an all time MCG classic, and a day of upsets flips the season on its head

I mean it’s probably plausible deniability. I reckon if they come out and say he has delayed concussion or something then I’d be very very suspicious of the doctors for not running those tests.

Six Points: Port's concussion farce, an all time MCG classic, and a day of upsets flips the season on its head

Ridley is better than Reid ever will be, I expect that trade would not happen

Six Points: Port's concussion farce, an all time MCG classic, and a day of upsets flips the season on its head

I mean they should because Harley Reid will not fix their issues particularly if Ben McKay walks for around the 6-650k mark

Six Points: Port's concussion farce, an all time MCG classic, and a day of upsets flips the season on its head

Oh for sure I’m not a doctor, but I know the shady stuff footy clubs and administrations try and push their medicos to sign off on stuff that would not fly in other contexts

Six Points: Port's concussion farce, an all time MCG classic, and a day of upsets flips the season on its head

Normally the doctor is the most well equipped to make the decision on site but the fact there wasn’t a HIA done does not leave a good look.

Six Points: Port's concussion farce, an all time MCG classic, and a day of upsets flips the season on its head

The norf tank is on.

Six Points: Port's concussion farce, an all time MCG classic, and a day of upsets flips the season on its head

Damn that’s some cynicism right there

Footy Fix: The Swans exposed every one of the Dogs' biggest weaknesses - but did it come too late to save their season?

I disagree he might be on the money here the bulldogs list is brilliant yet they’re on the edge of the eight. In his time at the bulldogs he has not made the top four

AFL News: 'It's time' - Cornes urges Dogs to part ways with 'stubborn' Bevo, Eagles' fallen star to sub

That loss was concerning for the Lions because I still believe the Melbourne forward line is dysfunctional at the best of times. While I do think Petracca, Melksham and Pickett are difficult match ups to a certain extent they’re robbing Peter to pay Paul particularly with Petracca spending the majority of his time forward in the absence of Clayton Oliver. The other strange thing that stuck out to me was playing Jacob Van Rooynen as a back up ruck he’s too young for that you’re asking for injuries galore with the young Van Rooynen in tbe ruck

Footy Fix: Seven minutes, four goals, all heart - how Melbourne pulled off 2023's biggest heist
