Panthers hasn't published any posts yet

Improved a lot from his first game in first grade to his second game. Promising & at least has a solid passing game , a decent ball runner.

Can Bazball show the rest of the NRL finalists how to beat the Panthers?

Yet Penrith have at least one big forward in Blacker who’s quite fast for his size , can & does force his way over the try line. Not going to keep him? A very strange decision.

As Cleary isn’t the quickest player around. Still think they’ll need some other outside of the box solutions in attack. Teams who make the finals , make them for a reason.
( Wasn’t so sure about Luke Sommerton against Manly , but very good against the Cowboys. A good future solution with Kenny at Hooker Albo . )

Don’t give any even decent facilities to areas with the greatest population growth , would be your thoughts ? .Just again stick with the same old same old . Sounds like the current town planning solutions.

NRL Week 1 finals match-ups: Playoff fixtures LOCKED IN

Being forced into other stadiums. Happened to Penrith before in finals & is totally unfair. Clubs earn home ground finals through a whole season. Parramatta or anywhere else , isn’t a home game.
I know you support the club who played all games away for a couple of years & thanks to them. Still not the point .

I hope that it’s a total sea of Panthers jerseys & flags . 😂

If the amount of days available between games is less for sides who finished the regular season further down the 8. That’s how it should be , if they can’t all have an even amount of days between games. An advantage to those who finished higher .

I watched the Panthers play against the Cowboys. If anyone got bazballed in that game , it was the Cowboys. Penrith moved the ball around quite a lot.
From the odds , you wouldn’t think that other teams had a shot against Penrith. Yet you’d probably give Brisbane a more than 50/50 chance of winning with their attack. Melbourne is Melbourne & can beat anyone. I wouldn’t discount any side. Not sure that any Bazball type analogy is necessary.
On another note, I think Penrith will need to adjust their style of attack during any finals game in attack. No Luai means that something else is required & Cogger isn’t the fastest ball runner either. As an example I quite the like idea of some small chip kicks over the rushing defence, further out from the opposition try line. To break up the defence. Cleary can do them as well as anyone.

Don’t know where you got that from, or how much truth is in it? Yet look at all the news stories from the day of the Penrith versus Parramatta & after the game , from a couple of weeks ago.
This for example is off of the NRL.com site
24 Aug 2023 — Penrith have now lost four of 37 games at BlueBet Stadium since 2020. The match was played before the first sell-out crowd for a Thursday …
Yet I think that I’d trust those in the know that are in media , more than you.

Yes. Well two new stadiums for the Roosters & Parramatta. In that time nothing much else for any other NSW clubs. Nothing much at all has still been done at Penrith, since 1967.

I often hear how the Panthers don’t deserve a decent home ground. As the crowds they get don’t warrant much of a home ground.
Yet Penrith’s home games have been sold out often this season . With the Only Ever Sold Out NRL Thursday Night Game . Sold out against the Cowboys again & even for the game against the Bulldogs.
A decent team & a better home ground, with an increasing western Sydney population . Also sounds like a recipe for attendance success .

Maybe so. Yet I’d still argue that the minor premiers deserve something more , than they currently get. If you can get the teams really competing to become minor premiers, that has to be a good thing. Brisbane & Penrith this season, was again about who cared a tiny bit more.
That’s coming from a supporter of one of those teams.

Do you think that South’s will persist with Ilia’s long term?

'His best defensive performance in the NRL': How Robbo's tough love led to Sam Walker's tackle perfect night

Probably correct, especially for Penrith.
Still don’t discount Taylan May . He’s a good player.
McLean will be better with another off season working with the first grade side & a bit more bulk.
Wouldn’t be surprised to see Iongi debut in the backline at some point next season.

ANALYSIS: Cleary and Cogger look ominous as Panthers seal minor premiership & Cowboys bow out, Dolphins down Wahs

I said that I liked Penrith’s chances at home against the Cowboys. After that first game against them in North Queensland . When both teams were missing players, yet the Cowboys had their first grade halves .
You said that you looked forward to the game at Penrith.
Just letting you know, that I didn’t forget it. 👍

Both teams were missing a lot of players, yet Brisbane were missing less. Brisbane had a 12 nil lead ( with all the ball early ) & by the end of the game were well beaten .

You’re implying that the players are of equal talent are equally spread amongst all clubs? ( Not that certain clubs can buy the best of the players available, while not losing any big names themselves. ) That’s not so.
Then, if clubs actually produce junior talent that they bring through to a first grade level at their own clubs. Why shouldn’t they be able to keep the most of the best of them? Rather than other clubs just buying them & getting the benefit of another clubs hard work.
Is the money from sponsors , corporate or independent equally divided? No.
Have all all clubs got the same facilities available to them. No.
Can clubs ask for different things be available to their club in particular ( that gives their club an advantage over others in keeping or buying players ). Then that request be granted to the club by the NRL. Yes.
So much for any evening out of anything, due to a salary cap.

I find it hard to believe that Piakura wasn’t also on report for the high shot on Storm centre Smith, when Smith scored a try.

When you win a premiership. It costs more to even keep the player line up they start the year with. Solved…

That’s exactly what makes that suggestion of what could be done with the money ( plus that amount of money ) something that every club would wish to achieve.
Even with a salary cap. There are the haves & have nots with different clubs.

Two years for Fa’alogo at the Storm. If he keeps improving on that game & loves the fullback position. I could see the almost currently unthinkable happening at the Storm. Fa’alogo at fullback & bye bye Papenhuyzen . It happened with Brandon Smith.

Keep the Cowboys out , or the Roosters out? It’s a tough one for sure! 😂

One thing that would change the importance of winning the Minor Premiership for sure. Would be to make it a million dollar prize that can be spent as an extra million on your clubs salary cap for the next couple of seasons. One million as a million for one season, or half a million over two seasons. That extra club benefit would change everything!
The small amount of money that’s the prize currently means little. Penrith are still waiting for the $100,000 from one of the Covid lock down seasons, when the NRL paid half.

Sharks look at the halves they’ve developed at the club & decide that they’re no good. Then buy more from Penrith lower & junior grades. As they just have.

Bulldogs need more than a few good men but the truth is club's had years to get a handle on mess they created

Jontay-Junior Betham-Misa … That’s quite the name.

Where to now for Parramatta? After finishing well short of expectations, Eels need to add element of unpredictability
