What about the AFL, they don’t even have tackling, just jumper grabbing and randomly running into each other, yet have the same issues. Seems like the only way to win is to not play.

What brings us (band wagoners) to the screen/keyboard is the occasion, not the game. So naturally we are not going to discuss formations or other tactical subtleties, we don’t know squat about them. But the falling over for no reason, staying down after minor incidents etc, which continue to happen decade after decade, which anyone can see is stupid… that’s a lot of what’s left to talk about.

Turning it inside and bashing up the middle, if that worked one in 20 times, might be worth it. But it never works. But somehow, we’ve had an appalling defensive record but scored enough points to win 11 games. It just seems to be either one or the other, annoyingly the bad one often now comes at home, and I have to sit through it.
