Support the Mighty Sea Eagles. Arguably one of the greatest strategic minds directed at Rugby League.

Does anyone at the Dogs actually have a plan? I might say the same thing about the Sea Eagles, but the Dogs’ heads have slipped beneath the Qicksand. Bloody terrible.

Manly heap more misery on dreadful Bulldogs with DCE's class shining through a bleak 80 minutes

Another mediocre season from Manly. As dull as the fat weed that rots itself in ease by the edge of Narrabeen Lagoon.

I wonder whether you can sustain a high impact elite physical professional sport after shattering a kneecap.

I think we can already see the headlines. Latrell, and Rapana for that matter , both have form and are not worth the aggravation they bring. There are plenty of talented guys out there who just want to earn a good living in the short time they have.

Round 26 Team Lists Late Mail: Sharks cop huge blow, Papi close to return after year out, Manly axe Schuster, Raiders trio in doubt

You’d think you’d need the guilty intent AND the guilty act. Otherwise there would be hundreds of thousands of blokes in pubs across the land convicted for all sorts of things the next day.

I for one will raise my glass to the Dolphins. I suspect I’m not the only one who thought they were going to be absolutely smashed this year.

ANALYSIS: Madcap Manly embrace the chaos to give Panthers a scare - before Crichton leads them to victory

I will say this : Manly didn’t show up as cannon fodder, and that is a ray of sunlight from behind the clouds. But the reality, when playing even a depleted Penrith, is that you can’t make mistakes. You get wounded and eventually bleed out. Manly have a lot of work to do between now and next Season. A lot. It’s just not good enough. Around here we all are used to a clinical, ruthless Sea Eagles side and the vibe is not good anymore. There are now years of grommets sitting on their boards thinking that their local team stinks. That’s the worst thing about this nasty business.

No group more so than their fans. All up the beaches people simply : Hate. Manly. Losing. They’re a tough crowd.

The Tigers aren’t a first grade team. Run by bums. Board of empty shirts. Me and a few blokes from the Avalon Bowling Club could give them a hiding.

The RLPA need to hire a few professional bizzos in to do their deal. Rugby league players bleating on about ‘ we’re being reasonable’ and ‘ respect’. What, are they 12 years old? As Dirty Harry said, A man’s gotta know his limitations.

ANALYSIS: Eagle-eye Cherry-Evans exploits toothless Sharks defence as swing to the right sets up cliffhanger win

You are quite right that they did. But then they failed to bayonet the wounded. NSW, my criticism is directed at both sides really to the extent that, at this stage of the Season if either side has ambitions of a glorious end to their Season, then one side shouldn’t have capitulated in the first half, and the other in the second. It doesn’t bode well for either. Nevertheless as a Manly guy I’m happy for the two points, it’s just that I don’t think it was a ‘convincing’ win. I enjoyed the game thanks to the gutsy counter-offensive by the Sharks. Manly might have been lucky that the game was 80 minutes and not 85 minutes. Just my 2 cents worth.

Sadly I can’t count this as a strong win by Manly. The first half saw Cronulla play like a waterproof teabag. Bums. But in the second half they put on five unanswered tries against the Sea Eagles. You don’t win finals footy like that, assuming you can fluke a spot. Horrible. Most horrible.

Probably a few jokers frequenting the Flinders Hotel late on Saturday night at Taylor’s Square would agree with you I suspect. Match their black leather caps.
