Round 25 of the NRL premiership continues with the Parramatta Eels hosting the Sydney Roosters at CommBank Stadium in Sydney. Join The Roar for live scores and commentary from 8pm (AEST).
The Eels are coming off a 54-10 thrashing at the Gabba at the hands of the Broncos. To make things worse, Mitchell Moses is out for the rest of the regular season. Considering how many times Moses’ kicking game has bailed the Eels out of poor field position, the hosts are under huge pressure.
Maika Sivo and Reagan Campbell-Gillard return from their suspensions to strengthen the Eels. Dylan Brown is named at halfback, with Dejarn Asi joining him in the halves.
Following a gritty but convincing victory against the Dolphins, the Roosters remain in the hunt for playing finals football. With Joseph Suaalii back on the wing for the Roosters, the Tricolours look a far more potent team when it comes to converting their chances. Drew Hutchison remains at halfback following a stellar performance, but Sam Walker is named on the reserves list and could be a late inclusion from his road to recovery.
Despite getting some big ins, the loss of Moses should be too much.
The Roosters also love a late season charge as we saw in 2022. Despite the Eels having a solid record since CommBank Stadium was renovated, their finals chances are likely to take an even bigger dip by the end of this clash. Roosters by 12
