i think that constant booing is disgraceful, name a white player who has been subjected to that rubbish.
walker does all the thinking for the team, he’s planning multiple tackles ahead. to criticise because he’s not “involved” in everything is unrealistic. the Cliffy analogue is about right; Wally was the same, he’d be having lots of little rests hanging on the blind side.

yeah, someone would have to explain it to me. player A gets picked for NZ, but wait he’s banned, so oh ok we unpick him. as if the NZ coach wouldn’t know his ineligible – but player gets a game off his suspension total anyway. similar if Player B is suspended & injured, coach selects him anyway, but wait he’s banned, so oh ok we unpick him – player gets a game of his total & he was never fit to play anyway. or some-one a bit past it like K.Foran, who in all likelyhood probably wouldn’t be picked. coach does him a favour, selects him, but wait he’s banned, so ok we unpick him – and he gets a game off his total.

i dont know Chop, i thought they looked steady & controlled even when Sharkies were giving it to them. you’ve got players to come back too, but the big thing will be how the Goodknights handle that finals feeling, not a lotta experience there.

read my mind Rellum, a cautionary tale for sure. everyone got excited when he had those few scintillating games for Sharkies, but his back-peddling goal line defensive techniques were interesting to say the least.

the doggies would have to be the most disappointing team for this season. although slightly higher than the dragons, no-one expected Saints to be anything but bottom 4, whereas there was optimism for all the new signings & coach at Canterbury. yes, injuries & blah blah, but really that defensive effort is dreadful.

didn’t watch the game but sounds like deja vu’ all over again. saints start well, miss an early opportunity, cop a couple of questionable decisions, run out of puff & in the end receive some platitudes about havin’ a crack.
flicka would probs go well at fullback, but what to do with T.Sloan ? at the moment he’s at Level 2 Duftstar and i cant see Flanagan having too much patience next year if things dont improve.
lastly, why doesn’t M.Suli get more ball, does he hang out with Schuster or something?

probs better than our federal govt 3-year plan…..Year 1: blame the other mob for the “inherited” mess, Year 2: talk up big while promising cash splash about half-baked, p.iss poor policies, Year 3: devote full attention to being re-elected.

broncos were another club, early 90’s when they were smashing everyone and I’d think, geez these guys are just impregnable. from the outside in they just looked like they were run like a blue chip company with players to match.

funny inn’it ?? as a life-long of a chook raffle-run club such as Saints, i was sooo jealous of these tight as, bleedin’ myrtle-and-green band o’ brothers at the famous Rabbitohs. everything at that club seemed so well run. but if they lose next week (couldn’t be set up better could it) to the roosters, there may well be blood on the dancefloor.

yes, Nat, can’t have these young fellas out being normal and having a good time. so he went to a concert and had (hopefully) one beer – wow, crises. what would be the reaction if Teddy or Val did that?
C.Graham is one of my fav players, but boy, does he get hammered. he does some tough yards; i read somewhere he’s on painkillers every game for that sternum.

i’m not a Souths fan but i could watch Mitchell all day when he’s on song. there’s a few things with Mitchell that will always have the focus on him. he’s indigenous, and (rightly) proudly so; he’s mercurial and expected to win a game on his own; he’s not afraid to speak his mind, as if having an opinion is a bad thing.
he’s polarising – does he fan the flames, yes probably. does he deserve the pile on and the booing – a resounding no.

i reckon the first thing that L.Brooks will put on his new BBQ is his Tiges jumper and photos of his 37 coaches he’s had. probably can’t wait to get outta there.
