While the 2023 State of Origin series has finished up, it’s not the end of the Origin period, with the NSW Blues and Queensland Maroons putting their next generation on display in men’s and women’s U19 State of Origin matches.
Several NRL up-and-comers will be featuring in the men’s match, including Brisbane Broncos young gun Blake Mozer (Queensland) and Canberra Raiders winger Chevy Stewart (NSW), while the women’s match will continue to build anticipation and preparation into next weekend’s NRLW season launch.
Kick-off for the U19 women’s match is scheduled for 5:45pm (AEST), while the men will kick off at 7:45pm (AEST), with both games being played at Kayo Stadium in Redcliffe.
Wanting to catch the game on a live stream or traditional TV broadcast?
This is The Roar‘s ultimate guide to following the two U19 Origin matches online, on TV and on the radio.
Unlike with the senior Origin, both U19 matches will be simultaneously broadcast on the Nine Network and Foxtel.
That means you have two main options to stream the games online: through Nine’s free streaming service 9Now, and through Foxtel’s platform Kayo Sports.
To sign up for 9Now, you will have to create an account if you don’t have one. Once you do that, though, simply click onto the Origin live stream and start watching.
A Kayo Sports subscription will set you back at least $25 per month, but new users may be eligible for a free trial.
Both the Nine Network and Foxtel will be simulcasting the two Origin matches.
Fox will be showing both games live on their main rugby league channel, Fox League (channel 502). Their coverage of the women’s game is set to begin at 5:30pm (AEST) and then head straight into the men’s build-up once it finishes.
Nine’s coverage will also begin at 5:30pm (AEST), but the women’s match will be broadcast around the country on Nine’s secondary channel 9Gem (channel 92 or 95 in HD).
While the men’s match will also be broadcast in most major cities on 9Gem, most of NSW and Queensland, including Sydney and Brisbane, will be able to watch on the main Nine channel. The Roar recommends you check your local listings to be sure which channel it will be on.
