Trifecta next year by adding Wighton.

As season 2023 winds down for Souths the bigger question, rather than assistant coaches is still,
Where does Wighton play ?
Fullback=Mitchell to center?, Tass punted?
Center= Tass punted
5/8=Walker to 7
Lock=Murray to back row?
Any wonder there is player unrest at Souths

“Roosters fans must be positively salivating at the chance of leapfrogging Souths” ???
They were 2nd fav for the premierships this year, fans should be bitterly disappointed the the Roosters this year.

Mitchell and Wighton have a court date end of October for the Canberra drunk/fight fiasco.
Given past suspensions handed out by the NRL ,Doubt they will be going USA round 1 2024

Eels were 6th on the ladder round 19, now out of the finals.
When the Broncos crashed out last year the media had Walters being dumped but teflon Arthurs escapes any scrutiny

I would give it to Preston, 1st year in playing 2nd row,
And no Kikau to spread the load, carrying TPJ and having to put up with Gould.

Khan-Pereira has been great but having Fafita inside opens up the rails run to the try line

Can not agree, article seems to presume the long kick off will be returned by a one out hit up.
There is nothing better than seeing Ponga, Walsh or Paps carve em up from the back on a kick return, The old Broncos early shift to the Pearl produced some of the games best ever tries, same with Billy Slater’s highlights reel.
Defenders need to stop hitting high regardless of the distance run by the attacker.
Easy fix to reduce the collision is to go back to the 5m rule and encourage more ball movement.

NRL should consider following NFL path on kick-off to reduce risk of concussions - and encourage unpredictability

Is home ground an advantage ?, I think so. So do 16 of the 17 NRL teams. And also many fans when the Broncs play an away game at Suncorp for Magic Round.
This year the Tigers have played “Home games” at Leichhardt, Accor, Campbelltown, CommBank, Scully Park & Waikato!
Obviously Heisenberg & Pascoe think terms and attitude referrances like ” we owe it to our fans”, “Make this place a fortress” , “we own this ground” and “defending our turf” so often mentioned by NRL Captains are not needed at the Tigers.
You could give them Cleary + Walsh and not make any difference, Still spoon contenders annually.

How much is JFH on at Penrith ? Given the cap increase its the same percentage of the available funds as Hass will eat out of the Broncs 24/24/26.

That’s a couple of good moves by the Broncos
Offload TPG to the Bulldogs = check
Let the Bulldogs think they had a shot at Hass so they push out TPG,
Then miss out on Hass = checkmate

With Pele and Thompson gone next year who is playing front row for the Dogs
Max King starting tight head and also bench rotation and a semi retired Rooster, recruitment masterclass Phil

Good to see Thomas Weaver getting a run for the Titans ( Hasler influence ?) he was the preferred halfback for Tweed Seagulls in the QRL pushing the now Bulldog Toby Sexton to 5/8.
Big task against Panthers but he is the future for the Titans. Hope he goes well.
