I thought the Raiders backing changes were long overdue and the structure now is better than what they gave had the past 10 weeks….Rapana at full back solves a problem back there…Wighton was just having a practice Run at centre for next year at the Bunnies!!!

Don’t forget Raiders won 94 as well in that era..87 to 94..won 3 lost 2…Penrith getting close but Raiders and Parra still in front..but by a nose ????

He is great at taking the bombs and kicks and his defence is strong – always runs it back to the line of cover chasing the kick…he cant take the run out of the first play the ball when he is actually playing the ball as he has taken the kick.

Maybe another Colin…left Canberra in 83..in Oz have after that lived Sydney,Cairns now back Sydney and the Gong…lived/worked a fair but overseas from 85 to 03…was in Canberra on weekend…went great Italian (not pizzas!) In Braddon called the Italian Place..excellent…also went to the Basement in Belconnen was great…although not a North side Canberran so haven’t been there for decades !!!

I think test cricket is on the rise anyway…see the WCT Final between Australia and India..big crowds big audience…same with our Tour to India and here…England and Bazball isn’t needed to save Crickey..India is..IPL makes the bucks but Test Cricket is their pinnacle..

Spot on analysis of the game..and I was at this game and one thing not noted is the umpiring..hate say it the umpiring in the first half and a bit was one pathetic and heavily biased to the lions. It became a joke….of course they tried to even up the count a bit on the second half..even the lions supporters amongst us agreed the umpiring was soft and biased..but if the Lions think they are Grand Final contenders they are a long way off and have a lot to do…Port, Pies and Demons have nothing to fear from the Lions..

The draw is the worst I’ve seen in my life..who were the clowns that scribbled this up..a 12 year old could make a better draw..it’s a joke..sometimes I suspect Vlandys and his Randwick racing betting mates scribbled it down on coasters at the Executive members bar at the track after a big day on the sauce!….my alternative suspicion is it was drafted up for some good bets on things like the top 4, the 8, the GF and the wooden spoon…the latter I’m beginning to favour as the season goes on

Yep I reckon NSW would go heaps better without Freddie as a coach and let the players go for it..no coach might work for them….just have to work out how or who make the Interchanges and I think Neville Nobody could do that better than Fittler
