He had one of the most accurate passes in in SRP. He was highest amongst the Aussie 9s who played regular minutes.

His pass off both hands is in a different league to McDermott and the kick he landed for Suli’s try was good, better than McDermott’s. I’d like to see White with Gordon for a time but IFL with Gordon could be an elite combo.

Garbisi has been injured and hasn’t featured prominently so he is unknown quantity currently. But I must admit he is a great talent and may have to review the list at the end of the group stages.

Personally Nobrain I think Sanchez is a better 10 and Carreras a epic fullback. Why they don’t have Bofelli on the wing and Carreras at 15 is beyond me. He is a very talented player.

Hopefully they stay in Australia, I am sure with Waugh’s revamped national comp there is plenty of need for a higher quality of Club coaches and assistants. there are more spots available in perhaps the spots needed to grow the game for this golden decade. Or this is at least what I hope.

'Couldn't blow out a candle': Vunivalu vindicates Eddie's huge call as ex-NRL star finally delivers for Wallabies

Hey Rugbynutter, I literally wrote: I am very happy Suli played well, for his sake and for ours as supporters. However, I am not getting carried away, he did what he was supposed to do

He played well and am happy for him but I also want to go as far as we can in the World Cup and that requires top shelf stuff. He did play well but it’s all comparative to how he has played in the past. He is improving that’s it.

Very happy with this line-up and I am stoked you put Scotland so high as well as including Samoa.

While Scotland are just an epic attacking threat, Samoa are one of those nations where building solid basics and having few weaknesses means they are a contender. The icing provided by Sopoaga, Lealiifano, Luatua and Seuteni is the gloss this impressive sides needs to create headaches.

I would say Italy is not far behind the 8, the energy brought back by Capuozzo is immense and he is a game changer.

World Cup Top 10 Power Rankings: Wallabies' missing piece, ABs still possess super power, and why France edge Ireland

I am very happy Suli played well, for his sake and for ours as supporters.

However, I am not getting carried away, he did what he was supposed to do and his defence still needs work as well as some positional awareness woes, Kellaway mopped up after him a few times.

It’s just the reality of Suli being an athlete first and a rugby player league or union first. He needs to keep gorwing and the pendulum with Marky and Koroibete is much better and against a side like Wales and Georgia (who’s playmakers play in France) it will be vital to have a connected and functional back three defence.

Smart call, but you will be missed.

Million dollar question there Nick, I think we will, the fact that an inexperienced Wales side couldn’t beat out an undermanned and 3 yellow carded England who have their own struggles with form says a lot. I think it will be us and Fiji.

Weakest links, not superstars, often decide World Cups: So where are the fatal flaws in the top 10 contenders?

I agree Nick, wholeheartedly and the Drua’s success in 2023 is the best story of this year’s SRP competition. Also on Mick Byrne, I hope he comes back to Australia soon, his skills standards are insane, he’s managed to coach-out a culturally entrenched game and implement his own, amazing.

But, on the lineout, if you’ve watched their games this year it is not operating perfectly and could become the Achilles heel of the team which the scrum has been in the past.

Nice read Harry. I think for Fiji Tevita Ikanivere won’t start, it will be Sam Matavesi who is a corner stone at Northampton Saints. So I don’t think Ikanivere’s throws will be too much of a weakness. However I do think the Fijian’s lineout has been shaky in general, definitely a area that should be targeted by their opposition.

On Argentina, their inability to structure an attack in general is really concerning.

I think a lot of Aussie rugby fans underappreciate AAC’s quality. He could genuinely start on the wing, fullback and outside centre ahead of any options at the time. No utility player has been that adept or versatile since. Swoop as he was known effectively made that mold, I would say Willie le Roux is the next best at it in international rugby closely followed by Beauden Barrett.
