You should probably have a look at how many codes play at Commbank Stadium before singling WSW out.
I can understand why you did though, the club that ended any chance of AFL being something in Western Sydney.
'We don't want to make World Cups, we want to win one': Matildas inspire nation as calls grow for football home to rival England's
Noting the date you wrote that, it’s pretty much pointless even trying that tactic now.
Would Dusty be the perfect fit for the Giants?
This shouldn’t be the case though.
You could hear the Irish fans over the local support and that’s unacceptable.
Catley penalty saves Matildas' blushes in front of record crowd as Kerr to miss Nigeria clash
Sorry Grem but I don’t agree with Waltzing Matilda, oi oi oi, ole ole ole Aus-sie Aus-sie or Mexican Waves.
It’s far too jingoistic, cliche’d at the moment.
We can do it in the Sydney Derby, why can’t we do it for the national team?
It needs to be intimidating with pyrotechnics and offensive chants. Until that changes it’ll always look like a Hi-5 concert.
Catley penalty saves Matildas' blushes in front of record crowd as Kerr to miss Nigeria clash
Western Sydney is arguably the home of football in Australia, there’s 2.2 million people and the majority speak football.
Something is happening within the club though and I don’t think it’s all Rudan. You only need to look at the state of the NPL team.
It’s almost criminal how Mariners are profiting from the area because kids don’t want to stay and represent their home.
Once it’s fixed Mariners will hopefully go under.
How A-League clubs handle the scholarship contract merry go round
Mariners will lose half their team then get bounced out of the FFA cup by an NPL team again.
The rime of the modern Mariners
Why on earth would you wear WSW items to their final?
Embarrassing. 👎
Outgoing hero Cummings leads Mariners to first championship in a decade as City collapse
I’m on City’s side because of the underhanded tactics Mariners use to pinch players from Western Sydney then try pass it off as ‘ya didn’t want him’.
Because that’s not how it goes.
The Mariners' title win was the glimmer of hope A-League fans needed
They would have won at home, the Mariners record at that ground is awfuul.
The Mariners' title win was the glimmer of hope A-League fans needed
Nothing glimmering about Asterisk FC winning.
City have every right to feel like that loss shouldn’t have happened. They were the best team all season by some margin only to be robbed of a home final.
The Mariners' title win was the glimmer of hope A-League fans needed
So it’s ok to take cheap shots at WSW but not ok to point it out?
Good to know.
The Roar's A-League tips and predictions: Grand Final
Ninkovic brought Calem with him, he insisted.
As for SFC, being holed up at Valentine Park to take advantage of Western Sydney hasn’t gone unnoticed either.
Jamieson to 'kill Bambi', yet most fans want to see the good guys slaughter City
Felt a little weird as a WSW fan seeing 3 and a bench spot taken considering the season was a failure.
I also feel like Gauci dropped off towards the end of the season, as much as I can’t stand him – Vukovic has been a wall recently.
Indefensible flaw in the PFA's A-League Team of the Season
Still underhand tactics of driving down to Western Sydney and getting into the ears of local players.
That’s nothing to be proud of.
Jamieson to 'kill Bambi', yet most fans want to see the good guys slaughter City
Yes. That brings games to the Central Coast on the odd occasion.
City thrash 10-man Sydney, make fourth straight Grand Final
I hope Mariners get pummelled by at least 4 goals.
For one glorious night, we all remembered why we love the A-League
That doesn’t bother me, all SFC did was end WSW’s season 1 week early
City thrash 10-man Sydney, make fourth straight Grand Final
It really isn’t. You only need to see what happens up there when the NRL comes to town.
City thrash 10-man Sydney, make fourth straight Grand Final
As funny as it was to see their capitulation, I don’t think WSW fans need to comment. Our 4-0 demolition of them earlier in the season is now, almost irrelevant.
City thrash 10-man Sydney, make fourth straight Grand Final
Comments like these are why we call you East Sydney FC.
The Roar's A-League tips and predictions: semi-finals
It was a legit reason to retake the penalty, the only issue is it hasn’t been picked up on all season – strangely only when SFC are a goal down.
Also had a different penalty taker too, that was a bit suss. Same person should have gone again (Caceres I think).
It is time for Melbourne City to prove their worth and reach fourth straight Grand Final
You do realise it comes across as ‘didn’t think we’d beat WSW so we’ll stay away but we won so oh we’re back’?
Is Sydney peaking at just the right time to stifle the premiers?
Hill mentioned WSW 4 times before kick off and 11 times during the game. Him and Harper are the reason I cancelled Paramount. Why on earth would I pay people to rag on my team?
The Roar's A-League tips and predictions: semi-finals
Western Sydney is the logical solution as that’s where the most football players come from.
Fish where the fish are.
