Come to Tasmania not one proper rectangular stadium bit we now building a thie yes a third AFL monstrosity. Government funding is so skewed in favour of AFL it outright discrimination.

The tagger, not only do you want a game of your own you want to deny other codes the funding, the media and the area as associated with bing top dog. One one else comes along and the AFL circle the wagons. Typical of how football, has been mal treated for far too long. Football deserves equal support and not before time.

The A League management should be putting pressure on the Tassie government to build a boutique rectangular stadium because there is just nothing here for an A League franchise.

Same issues time and again. Can’t hold the ball under pressure, passing slow, no lack of pace and inaccurate, lack of athleticism means we will always struggle. Morgan’s record is less than impressive, loosing to the Uzbecks should never happen we need and must do better in these age groups.

David Warner should only be selected when the pitches are rock hard and show no deviation off straight and humidity is low so the ball does not swing. Otherwise he’s toast.

G money. And if they show promise where do think they’ll be directed. Whilst the FFA have done many good things I think talent identification and retention and youth development needs improving. Having our under age teams being beaten on a regular basis is not acceptable to the Australian sporting fan, it makes the code look sub standard. And is not a good portence for future Socceroos success.

Australian love winners and at the moment Australian football is a non winner from all its international teams through to weak youth development and a non existent media department.
The FFA has to lift its game if we are to be accepted and respected and not just seen a a sport played by athletes who are not good enough for NRL, AFL and Cricket.

How can Australian football attract new fans to the beautiful game?

Just a thought, is it time for the Matildas to play a more counter attacking style. Defend in depth with a quick transition, would suit our best player Sam K especially if she gets one on one with an opposition defender.

Where’s our Rose. Probably playing AFL or NRL because there is certainly no equivalent in the Matildas set up. If don’t find these types of players to support Kerr and Fowler we be in the second division.

Mick, no I’m not annoyed, we have free speech and choice in this country, at least we used too. Given the power of the press that supports NRL in NSW and peer pressure that comes with that I’m not surprised.

Mick, a bit late with this comment. The indigenous people are gifted and natural athletes. They have proved their ability at the biggest test international sports (same Kerr and Cathy Freeman). Football Australia should be putting a lot more resources into indigenous football development.

At work. I agree, it would be less of an embarrassment if football was there. I am surprised that the Former commonwealth African countries have not pushed for its inclusion. Being cynical I would guess that the Australian officials are strong NRL and AFL types and would block any move in this respect.
