– imo… except for a couple, the rest I think is ok
– Im ok with DR being moved on. He was going in circles and in many matches he made either bad decisions or bad non-decisions
– WBs winning RWC? buckleys. its always been that way. but for me, its ok

Thanks BeeMc! Yes on all points. EJ is a deflector:
– This time he tried to deflect the message
– He did so poorly by trying to shoot the messenger.
– And the messenger is well meaning, one of the best in the business and highly respected. And comments without malice. And the truth as he sees fit
– Poor show and a lack of wisdom by EJ
– Not a good way to win over hearts and minds.
– He seems to think Australian Rugby are a bunch of ‘yes men’
– There’s a big difference between a couple dozen drooling Pavlovian journalists and the real community

Thanks GP. I never thought EJs boys had any chance to win the RWC. imo it’s a fools errand for a coach and his admistration to talk up real prospects for a win:
– It creates unreslitic expectations.
– eg winning in Loftus, where WBs loss record is even worse than Auckland
– Making radical changes to the game structure and expecting immediate results
– Its a surefy way to lose the confidence and credibility

Very nice, thanks BeeMc. I would like to see more from the Rebels, Tahs. Wished the season went for a longer to enable them time to grow. NRL for example has 27 pre-finals rounds I think. Super Rugby is around half that.

Thanks Phil. Welcome to the ROAR. In addition, you may wishto consider the market size that feeds the competition: viewers, advertisers, memberships, tickers, and merch. Aus Rugby isnt competitive in its own market and NZ is too small.

Also having really good coaches, they make all the difference. Good players come after that

the individual markets in NH are big enough to support, i think. not the same in our part of the world

Thanks BeeMc. Super Rugby and rugby is in general is hamstrung by ringfencing club competition within limited markets and limited thinking of respective national administrations

– Tahs like the Reds went up the guts. And defended well enough, I
– Rebs stopped rebelling after scoring 30 points
– Brums. Lost and won (bonus point). But could have done way better as you mentioned

Thanks BeeMc. The improvements by Aussie teams is a bit like peddling up the big hill. The more you make progress, the more difficult it seems to make the summit. But I love the process nonetheless. Hopefully it sticks and becomes permanent. Unlike the Reds bump during the COVID years

My favourite Aussie scrummagers. They aren’t Aussie. Yes and no. They are playing for the Rebels plus one more who will play for the Rebels.
