Personally I love the war of attrition. Patience and digging in through some very good bowling and tough conditions should be commended.

If you want high run rates go watch T20.

Run out drama erupts as controversial Smith escape, Murphy cameo earns Aussies unlikely lead

Some very good spoken words.

However I think I speak for all Australian supporters when I say we’re pretty sick of very good words, we want very good performances.

Your last paragraph is a great point, but not symptomatic to Western culture as a whole.

When you watch the post game interview with captains who actually have integrity, they always say it doesn’t matter if there was a contentious decision, they shouldn’t have let the game come down to an umpiring decision or 50/50 call. They blame themselves for losing. We’ve heard none of that from England.

The Poms are having the biggest whinge of the century. They are making themselves look like jerks and taking away the focus on some of the really great cricket they’ve played.

I thought because the last series was void that meant England were still the holders of the urn. Doesn’t that mean the last match is super important to them?

With the amount of people going to non- Australian games, I think it would be feasible to think they’d also get a massive viewership on FTA as well.

I’d watch plenty of games if it was on FTA or on my current subscriptions, but it’s not. There has to be a balance between garnering interest and paying bills and I think in this instance they’ve got it wrong. I think CH7 will be spewing because they underestimated the massive interest and are now seeing how much money they could have made off this.

The Women's World Cup will succeed in spite of mainstream media, not because of it

Every other Women’s World Cup has been on free to air. Huge international events are usually televised. I get it that $25 isn’t that much, but wouldn’t you think this would be a huge opportunity to grow interest in the women’s game in Oz?

I think you’re right that even if Stokes declared earlier the draw was still very much on the cards. However if he’d declared with 150 lead and set some of the unique attacking fields like in the first test it may have gotten in to the Aussie’s heads and stolen a famous victory. He could have done that knowing that even if the Aussies batted themselves back in to the lead the draw still would’ve been certain. I think it was a missed opportunity.

The only teams I can see challenging the Panthers for the GF are Broncos/Bunnies/Storm/Cowboys and the only way they’ll do it is if they have a really solid run home in these last rounds and don’t get smashed with injuries/judiciary.

Not many in Australia though. I would have loved to watch the France-Jamaica game last night. Except how do you watch it? On channel
7? Nope. On my Stan Sport subscription? Nope. On my Kayo subscription? Nope. Oh wow what a surprise, you need another sport subscription to watch this huge event if Australia aren’t playing.

Totally agree. The Wallabies are their own worst enemy. Their unforced errors, loss at the set piece and bad decisions are usually what costs them games. When you watch higher level test matches it’s two teams versing each other. When the Wallabies play they have themselves AND the opposition playing against them.

'Cardinal sins' the Wallabies have highlighted they must fix to stand a chance in Bledisloe Cup

Totally agree

Surely Radley can’t still be copping fines. How is it that a repeat offender who’s shown no ability to adjust his game cannot be rubbed out for games?

I’d take Flook over Stewart solely because Flook is a 13 and it would be waaaay better to keep Kerevi at 12

Wallabies defeat wasn’t about winning or losing. It was about discovery

Totally agree re Kellaway for fullback. The Wright fans on The Roar keep mentioning Wright’s x factor, but we’ve already got plenty of that in our wingers, and Wright’s x-factor usully comes at a fatal cost. I’d rather the fullback be a workhorse, consistent player. Not everyone on the team has to be a game breaker, and even saying that, Kellaway is still pretty bloody good.

Sorry West but there’s just no way that’s true. I am saying that not based on any statistics but my own knowledge. I have lived all around Australia and Rugby Union in Australia is basically unheard of. Virtually no one plays or supports the game here. It is extremely rare to meet another person who even watches the Wallabies, let alone Super Rugby. Virtually all the teams I have played for have been filled with international players (as Micko has pointed out). Aussies love Cricket, AFL and Rugby League, but very you could hit up 100 people on the street if they give a crap about Union and I’d say less than 2 people would show any interest.

I was under the impression this was an opinion site. Am I wrong? Just because you have an opinion doesn’t make everyone else wrong. Mecurial players are likely to cop a lot of stick, and TW is definitely in that category.

I hope Wright goes great and wins us the game and wins us the World Cup and proves me absolutely wrong. But in my opinion he currently makes too many mistakes, and even more dumb decisions. And that’s at Super Rugby level. Personally I’d prefer Kellaway if he was available.

Wallabies CONFIRMED: Why Jones opted for Hodge at 12 as Suli starts and four debutants named for Boks clash

I agree he does some great things in attack, but I just don’t personally like such volatile players. Would be so happy to sacrifice a bit of speed for the reliance and smarts of Kellaway, or even Hodge.

I’d like Kellaway at the back when he’s fit and TW out of the squad

My greatest concern is Tom Wright imploding multiple times with stupid mistakes.

Totally agree, I loved watching the series against Japan. It’s so good to watch these rep teams made up of hopefuls to the next level.

Hopefully Stan will stream it in good quality with decent commentary because I feel like A LOT of us want to watch this. Aren’t broadcasters always screaming out for more content?? Here it is!
