Canham actually gets over the ball too. Skmthung that has been desperately missing in all oz locks since Horwell really (skelton excluded)
Eddie to resist last-minute Wallabies RWC changes despite injury clouds, Samu opens up on axing
Very smart take on things. Wondered why so few brumbies and so many rebels.. grow the game in Melbourne? Agree 100% with Samu, Quade, Lonergan and Toole. Would of loved to see Toole against Georgia or Portugal. He would have a highlight reel try in him to be played on the news and get the general punter interested. JOC would be in the squad too if up to me
Eddie to resist last-minute Wallabies RWC changes despite injury clouds, Samu opens up on axing
3 of our 5 losses this year have been SA, NZ and France away. Is it really alarm bell time?
'Results haven’t been good': Wallabies head into World Cup winless after being humbled by France
100% cec. Physically not much difference, decision making …. well Kolisi is in another league
Who caught Eddie's eye? Swinton, Pietsch star in 'underwhelming' Aus A win over RWC rivals Portugal
Bookies odds are usually better than rankings. Put your money where your mouth is they say. Wallabies 1.20 v Fiji 4.63, Wallabies 1.35 v wales 3.12. The smart money says we still top the group. Kiwis still 3.74 faves for the WC. Wallabies 5th top odds at 11.29
RWC News: Fiji win sends Wallabies to all time low, grisly Lomax verdict, Boks star's positive drug test
Reckon Swinton needs to add some defensive ruck work to his game to be an international back rower. He doesn’t necessarily have to be great on the pilfering but might be suited better to counter rucking. Kolisi counter rucks brilliantly and doesn’t often pilfer. He should be the blue print for Swinton as they seem to have similar builds/running styles.
Who caught Eddie's eye? Swinton, Pietsch star in 'underwhelming' Aus A win over RWC rivals Portugal
Wouldn’t take too much from that. Kiwis had the worst luck ever. Not one thing went right for them. ABs are still bookies faves for the WC
WORLD VIEW: All Blacks suffer 'grisly' fate, 'pummelled into submission,' as stunning Boks deliver a 'monstering'
Very good ABs team. Bookies fave for WC. Important to win these friendlies. Dont want to go in on a loss
RWC News: ABs name strong team for Boks clash, Vunipola banned, journo rings alarm bells over key Wallabies
I think I got Eddie… appoint leaguies as coaches and the odd player just to get the fans and media interested. Dont think Eddie really cares who he has as assistants. He is dictator-style leader. Why would he care about the opinion of his assistants? Better to appoint a leaguie to get everyone talking. Big Eddie fan. His record is unparrelled by any coach in world rugby. Carter Gordon did very well this year when mentor Matt To’ouma left. Has he done the same with Quade? Is it to lift Carter?
RWC News: Eddie's surprise new Wallabies coach revealed, fresh scare for ABs, Richie fumes at 'slap in the face'
What an article Harry. Just brilliant. Thank you!
I put it up there with your comment that Tate McDermott looks like a fella that goes to a strip club not for the girls but because he likes the meals 😂
What three hours in a bar taught me about RWC contenders - including the 'most confident 0-4 team on the planet'
Yeh true, once Tate starts running (especially after a quick tap) hes almost unstoppable. Cheers Christy for your articles. They are always on the money. You dont have any sources in the finance sector so we could get the early news and make some money too ????
Eddie has done what was needed four years ago and ripped the bandaid off. Now he's breathed life into Aussie rugby
Not yet….

Thought he played 80 the last champions cup final they won? Might be wrong
Shock and raw: New skipper, rookies galore and Test careers brutally ended as Eddie's RWC bombshells CONFIRMED
The more I think about it, the more Skelton as skipper seems like a genius move. Big Will knows what it’s like to lift trophies – Tahs, Sarecsns, La Rochelle. He has a good temperament – remember him consoling Petaia after the NZ game. Hes not gona antagonize the ref. I love the way he gets over the ball. Hes good for a turnover or 2 a match. Imagine the lift you get on the pitch seeing big Will win a pen when you are stuck in your 22!

Hahaha hold my beer and take a seat son..
Shock and raw: New skipper, rookies galore and Test careers brutally ended as Eddie's RWC bombshells CONFIRMED
Forward pack starting to take shape. McReight, T Hooper, Skelton, Faesller, Schoup and Bell. If you can get those blokes in the 23 then we have some very strong players over the ball. Would like to see JOC squeeze in there too. Covers 10/12 even 13. Good to see him in the training squad. Say Quade hasnt fully recovered as well from his injury as they would have liked or I’d say he would be in
Shock and raw: New skipper, rookies galore and Test careers brutally ended as Eddie's RWC bombshells CONFIRMED
Yep, Whitelock with the crusaders, Horwill with the Reds too. Think Will will do a good job. Does that mean he goes the 80? Or does that mean Tate comes off the bench?
Shock and raw: New skipper, rookies galore and Test careers brutally ended as Eddie's RWC bombshells CONFIRMED
Wow Eddie! Ah wouldn’t agree with all the selections but maybe a bloke with 25 years of pro coaching success knows more than me!
Good call with Skelton. Something about a big lock as skipper I think motivates team – Eales, Wynn-Jones, O’Connell
Shock and raw: New skipper, rookies galore and Test careers brutally ended as Eddie's RWC bombshells CONFIRMED
Great read Harry! Very good point about high tackle counts leading to injuries. Eddie’s wallabies seem to have the same problem as Rennie and Cheika – not strong enough over the ball. What’s the point in trying to make tackle after tackle when you can pressure the breakdown and force turnovers. Isn’t the point of defence in rugby to get the ball back???
It's not Eddie's first rodeo, but old school methods could leave behind a trail of broken bodies
Big Eddie fan but… 4 Waratahs, 5 Rebels, 5 overseas, 4 Reds and only 5 Brumbies in the 23. I’m a Reds fan but Brumbies should be making up at least half the 23. They were the only competitive team against the kiwis. Just doesn’t make sense we have as many players from our worst performing team as our best in the 23
Wallabies CONFIRMED: Tate to captain 'new era' as Eddie changes back-row, calls up rookie prop after Thor blow
Great read 🏉 very good points. Like others say, Ella and Larkham were similar in oz. Sexton does it brilliantly. He passes, loops, then straightens and either dummies or draws and passes. Beautiful
The 'sliding pivot' - the style revolutionising rugby's attacking strategies
Brumbies played very well this year. Win 3 loss 4 v the kiwis. 202 points against 181 points for v kiwis. If only all our teams were like that. In 2022 they were Win 4 loss 3. 190 points a piece. If one team can do it (who dont have that many players in the current wallabies) why not all?
'Keep putting him in those positions': Committing to Carter, Taniela teaser and Eddie's 10 RWC head-scratchers
True that a lot more needs to be done but the answers are close to home… the Brumbies. The Brumbies have the second best win/loss record throughout the history of super rugby (only behind the crusaders). They have a record of 7 wins 7 losses versus the kiwi teams in super rugby pacific. The brumbies take their local players and those not wanted by nsw and qld and turn them into champs. I’m an eddie jones fan but o cant believe there were as many brumbies on the test team the other week as there were rebels. That just doesn’t add up. Seems that the other teams in oz focus on athletes whereas the brums focus on smart footy players – the difference of each strategy shows. Ps. I’m a reds fan
Ex-Wallaby lashes 'disgusting negativity' after Knuckles' 'bloody disaster' rant on Eddie
Yep, he gives away more tries rushing in than he saves. I personally don’t see how any of the OS players are a leg up this year on what SR players would have been
The Wrap: Don’t buy Eddie Jones taking the blame for another Bledisloe loss, buy the hope instead
It’s up to the coaches if they want to make a gamble with 7 or hey maybe 8 forwards. Thats a tactical decision and sometimes you win, sometimes you lose. But Eddie has a point, the game would be much better with less subs. 6 or even 5 as many have said would male it a better viewing
