I honestly think the Matilda’s have shown what women’s sport can do.

They have galvanised a nation of 29m.

They are more popular than their male counterparts, and they deserve more from the overall body, in Australia.

The reality is, women’s rugby, needs to create their own revenue.

I watched every Wallaroos game on Stan last World Cup.

RA has the worst publicity in all codes for men’s and women’s and needs to invest.

I have no doubt, the Wallaroos can gain similar exposure to 2029 if the networks are willing to give more exposure.

I don’t have an issue with EJ’s spray.

There wasn’t one question about any of the players he’s picked.

I would’ve picked QC over Donaldson and probably found a spot for Sio and Samu.

But there is no way the previous players would be any better than this squad.

To say otherwise is a joke.

A lot of media are loving it (see Matty John’s show).

The only ones who don’t are the negative Rugby Journalists.

Point take. Jeznez,

I reckon the front row is an area of concern.

I would’ve picked him and QC, but his thought process is the same.

They haven’t performed on the international stage.

Logic is flawed, but understandable.

I would’ve picked Sio.

But I’m not the coach, and I do see EJ’s logic.

The older team didn’t stand a chance, this team probably doesn’t either, but at least they are fresh faces he can build.

My first thought was negative for EJ, but after thought, I’ve got to say he has a point, as do the media.

The Wallabies needed to go for youth and EJ is the only one with the guts to call it out.

Would Rennie have done it, no way.

The past players do have a negative mindset, that has been clear since 2011, let alone 2015.

Losing was ok.

The media have been extremely damaging to Rugby Union, especially League commentators, who outnumber union by about 10-1.

Could he have handled it differently?

YES

Is there more optimism with a youthful team than a disastrous one.

YES.

Is he nil from 4

YES

Has embraced youth?

YES

I reckon Lonergan for White is a no brainer.

White just makes the wrong decision all the time.

Lonergan is green, but he can also kick, why hasn’t Eddie given him a run

Agreed, but didn’t have confidence in them.

Eddie is backing them.

I understand what you’re saying though.

Marky Mark, forced his way, Tate was behind White and Gordon who are robotic.

Eddie is trying to give exposure and expression.
I reckon Rennie wouldn’t have backed Tate and told Marky to rein it in.

Subtle differences.

Anyway, I’m sure I’m wrong again, but at least Eddie is giving youth a crack before the 2023 World Cup.

If you are going to lose it, why need develop, and in the off chance they click, it’s better than what we had.

It’s a win/win.

Can you tell me that White, AAA, Slipper, M Hooper and D Swain were going to give it any better crack than this crop?

That first 20 minutes in the Bledisloe, was by far, the most entertaining rugby Australian rugby has put on the field in 10 years.

I doubt we will make an impact this year, but you can see what Eddie is trying to do.

Create what is playing in front of you.

Of course he will get frustrated with media, he’s had 3 games, but he is bringing in youth, a lot of these guys could be awesome.

Marky Mark, Carter Gordon, Tate McDermott, Tom Hooper, Angus Bell.

These guys barely got a start under Rennie

I reckon that’s harsh Bluesfan,

I don’t think we stood a chance with an old team, I think bringing in youth, is the only way forward.

I’m sure EJ is frustrated as well, but he might as well have a crack.

I didn’t think we would’ve got out of our pool under Rennie and I doubt it still now, but at least Eddie has changed an ageing team and telling reporters what he is doing.

Rennie barely spoke at all and kept the same players expecting different results.

Eddie is simply stating he is backing his youth, which ever other coach Odesa’s well

The yellow card for Tupou was a disgrace.

If you review the game, the All Blacks did the same thing at least 5 times.

Every other National team does the same, Australia is the only one penalised.

It’s sad Reds,

That’s for sure, by the time the cup roles around we will be ranked 10th.

There are not enough props left.

I admire the youth strategy, but they are way too green.

I love the way Eddie keeps roping us in.

I keep saying I’m over it, and Eddie brings us back (much like George Costanza, driving women to lesbian, and Kramer bring them back).

Good episode, watch it

I really don’t mind this team, the chances of Winning are slim, but they were anyway.

There are risks everywhere, but the youth will benefit from this.

Please stop teasing us Wallabies, get a win with a new breed.

Jeez this is always tough.

I like all 3 options and as you say, there are benefits and flaws to all.

I would probably lean toward no. 3, but with a real draft for before the finals of the respective club comps.

Perhaps each franchise can pick 5 uncntracted players each to bolster their squad for Super Rugby AU.

The only other option would be to split every super club into 2 somehow with development players and have a 10 team comp, to make an NRC, also with a draft for club players

I know there are a few options at 13, Perese and Foketi are there, but I wouldn’t mind seeing Flook getting a crack.

He is developing really quickly, perhaps it’s worth the risk?

I’d go Perese or Flook at outside, as a straight replacement.

Fullback is an issue as Wright should never be picked again.

Could Gordon play fullback as a smokey

Wallabies defeat wasn’t about winning or losing. It was about discovery
