Been in & around for many years, I've played, coached, managed, & even attempted part time reffing, of which I admittedly wasn't that good at. Also been involved, with the Sydney Subbies for quite a few years, on a voluntary basis, back in the 80's & early 90's. So I can honestly say, I've put just as much into the game, as I had taken out, of it.

TBH KH What I’ve watched in regards to the NPC & Farah Palmer Cup, those games have been top quality, but if your referring to the attendance situation then yes, the numbers are down. I don’t know why financially we’d be struggling due to that Sponsorship by Silverlake.

TBH Jacko, I’m leaning towards the Bokke taking it out, seeing how they’ve rebuilt in a big way, to hold onto their current title. Time will tell. Anyway I wasn’t that impressed with the Irish win over England as it was a stop start game with Williams blowing the pea, but it was nice to see that Maori fella Lowe, scoring for the Irish, as he did have a good game.

Yep Buck Highlander, the warrior from the BOP, that put the ‘ Mana’ back into the Haka, as most know how it was previous to what he achieved.

Stan wasn’t far behind him Geoff, as Piney, RIP, always said that Stan was a far better player than him, but someone had to stay at home to look after the farm.

24 year drought KH? TBH there are some that have never won the RWC that were up there, to have a great show in taking it out. Like the NH nations have only ever won it once, & never in the NH, as they won their one & only in the SH.

Yeh BF. from memory that was at Addington where Hart copped that from the public, when his horse returned to the Birdcage. Many in the South did remember his constant whinging & carrying on when he was serving it up to his predessor Laurie Mains, during his tenure, so that in many’s eyes was what some call ‘ pay back’. Yeh I realise it was a bit over board, but some do have long memories.

Even back in 2013 whilst at Ellis Park, pre the AB v SA game, which many now refer to as the greatest test match ever played, they were still flying South African Airline’s Jumbo’s at low altitude over the stadium pre game, woodart.

Morena Geoff, & an excellent wrap, being one to put our memories to the test. Yes Bro, Kirwan’s try was a ripper, but my fondest memory of that game was the ‘ Iceman’ scoring the first ever try in RWC history. Yes Michael Jones, one of our finest flankers. So in truth, the by far the best try, IMO would be Jonah in 95, against the Pom. Why? To be honest his try, will possibly never be surpassed, due to his now known illness that he played with throughout his AB career, which was him only being able to play at between 70 & 80% of fitness due to it. I’m refferring to his try, in using Mike Catt as a stepping stone, virtually. RIP, big Fella !
Yes most Kiwi’s did make complaints after the final of that tournament, but it was sorted when my old school associate at KHS in Otepoti Laurie Mains went back to Jo’burg, at his own expense, a little while after the completion of the tournament, to get some answers. Laurie being an AB himself, was at KHS with two other future AB’s in Chris Laidlaw & ‘ Spooky’ Smith. As some know at school, Laurie was always a perfectionist in his training & fitness, as being AB coach, during the pre 95 RWC warm up’s, he did warn Jonah to raise his fitness levels,( not knowing of Jonah’s illness) or he wont be going to the RWC. Of course now the rest is history.

TBH I didn’t see todays game, Jacko, but I did see his two previos games, & IMO he’s still quality, & a bit sharper than the Southland born DMac. We know any player can have a bad day at the office, as it happens, from time to time, but I wouldn’t count Cruden out, as his play is usually beating the man, straight up, not run cross field, to attempt to go around the man. So in truth, he’s a far better experienced player now, even some are calling for him to be a back up, if needed, at the RWC.

We also might look at Handre Pollard who evidently is not far off returning, as he’s been training recently with squad members, so I’ve heard, Highlander.

😂 😂 😂 😂 . Really Jacko?? 😢

Comon Jacko, we know your opinion on Mo’anga, & he’s still better than your Waikato man DMac. In fact DMac will be lucky to get a start at first five for both Waikato & the Chiefs next year, seeing the way Aaron Cruden is playing! That is in the NPC ATM.

Hey Jacko a bit off topic, but how do you reckon DMac will hold down the first five positions for both Waikato & the Chiefs with the classy Aaron Cruden back? Geeez Cruden looks really sharp!

RWC News: 'Losing three biggest academies' - Eddie's truth bomb for ABs, Poms' 'horrendous' fear

TBH ATW the same applies to these SR franchises, in that they too need to be reminded as to where the players come from, as with the NZRFU. The provinces are & still will be, the back bone of rugby in Aotearoa.

Be sad to see the NPC go by the wayside Otago, as for many a decade those provincial games have been our treasures. Even now they are hard to beat. I agree that it’s time for the provincial unions to unite, & remind those at HQ, in Wellington as to where the players come from. I realise it’s now the professional era, but IMO, some past rulings as far as the provinces go, need to be adhered to!

And the overall for & against now?

RWC News: 'Losing three biggest academies' - Eddie's truth bomb for ABs, Poms' 'horrendous' fear

I didn’t say that TC! If you’re Kiwi then you’d know we start playing at an early age. If you care to look back over the years, or even decades there has been a fairly steady influx of those that have crossed the ditch, & played here. If that’s the case then you & that other fella are off the rails, not knowing the systems in Aotearoa!

Where tf did I say that?? That Aus is trying to recruit NZ raised players?? TBH that has actually happened in the past, as many that have been through the Aotearoa systems have ended up here, just like the current Wallaby captain, or can’t you handle the truth? So a liitle more accuracy on your assumptions, would be nice. Also I’ll say it again, that Aotearoa is a part of Polynesia, as with many that appreciate, accept & embrace the culture of the land & it’s people. Can you say the same, or is it another, so what?? Honestly some.

RWC News: 'Losing three biggest academies' - Eddie's truth bomb for ABs, Poms' 'horrendous' fear

And that’s not happening, where Aussie is recruiting, as you say, players that have been through the Aotearoa systems? I know what I said, & your assumptions are not what I said, originally!

RWC News: 'Losing three biggest academies' - Eddie's truth bomb for ABs, Poms' 'horrendous' fear

Poor Eddie, he simply doesn’t understand that Aotearoa is part of Polynesia, where as Australia isn’t. Also many of those born of Pacific Island heritage within Aotearoa have been born there, some 2nd or even 3rd generation.

Yep ‘Thunder Thighs’ was a class act back in the day!!

Can Samoa shock the rugby world again, like the 'Beegee' Williams pioneers of 1991?

No understanding of what the word means Jim??? How many chokers have never won the RWC? All that have won it certainly aren’t chockers.
