I think the successive downward slope of results predates Dave Rennie. I’m not fussed where the coach comes from.

But as with the stock market, it’s only results that matter…same for Eddie, it’s just too early to tell yet 👍

No matter what, the players don’t select themselves, not who the coach is and I’ll get behind them 😁

That’s a good summary Christy.
Seems odd that EJ said “we have got young kids in this team”. Almost like he didn’t select them himself 😂
No matter what, we’ll support our national team and hope for the best. If it doesn’t work out, I still believe it was worth trying something new vs doing the same old.

I thought the move to bring in EJ was the right one. Starting to have some doubts now. However…

The Wallabies are currently ranked 9th, more recently 8th and I think we’re 7th when Dave was let go.

So, not making it out of the pool = fail
Making the quarters = expected
The semis = exceeding expectations
The final = vast overachievement
Winning Bill = just can’t see it…

I reckon it would have been the same, regardless of the coach. Disappointed in some of EJ’s selections, but he sees and knows a lot more than I do! (so did Dave Rennie BTW)

Good question. Mismanagement for a couple of decades, cultural change and we all forget that union’s rise in the 90’s coincided with the Murdoch sponsored Superleague takeover move.

Once league got their house in order, programming returned to normal.
