You are the only one claiming the story is incorrect. You are claiming Cipriani is telling porkies. Prove it. Also PROVE Mitchell lied about being sacked for watching his son play cricket for NZ on his day off. Also prove the other names others have bought up are porkies. We all agree with the claim.

No he is too experienced and doesn’t qualify for Aus.

All I do is think 35-20 when there was a trophy involved.

Plenty have Doc. He is the most controversial Coach in world rugby no doubt.
He has q long history of going thru assistants too. Google it.

Yes I remember when 2nd five used to be the 2nd playmaker in the team. Now FB is. I just get frustrated at seeing very good players like Z Sullivan come thru as a 10 but get signed by the Blues and play 15

One thing I’ve noted Muzzo is Perofeta is playing FB as is Love. We do seem to like putting our 10s at 15. I like the look of Jock McKenzie at 10 tho. Just caught some of his game. Looks a good player and Nick looked very good at 9 over the weekend too. Plenty of young talent coming thru and with the first real change in ABs coaching starting next year its all adding up to an exciting year in 24.

Agree. And as usual with the past the players seem to get better the longer after retirement we go. I thought Crudeness was the perfect player to succeed DC as the game variance was plain. I’ve watched CG for two seasons now. I was calling for him to replace Toomua in 2021 and really rate him. I don’t want to see the next anyone. I want to see the first Carter Gordon. Hopefully pushed along by the next Lynagh lol

Yeah I mentioned elsewhere that some 10s are play facilitators rather than play makers. Lynah was a facilitator. I think his sons look similar in style of play too

Thays a bit silly. Hopefully he gets more and more game time.
Yeah good on the boot for sure. I think Aus rugby will push his running game too. You can see he was English raised.

Thats fan drinking time they are eating into Geoff. I’m in NZ atm so definately appreciate the 7.15am kick off this week but back in Aus next week so its early mornings for a few weeks.

Maybe the next lynagh will be the next Larkham. I see him as an English type 10 tho maybe get some running instinct into him.

I find the whole 10 debate interesting Ken. You look at Ireland and there 10 is a real solid player but far from flashy. You look at Mounga and he’s flashy but not so solid. I watch Gatland at the Chiefs and see him as a play facilitator not a play maker yet others shine around him as his style allows that. The simple truth is that a good 10 allows the team to be at its best. Guys like DC, lynagh, Jonny W are the 10s that go above that and win games for their team.
From an ABs fan I’ve not seen a better 10 than DC. His “perfect game” v Lions was still the best I’ve seen and to me he is the best player I’ve watched. Richie the great had leadership skills which propelled him above DC I guess but purely as a player DC was so naturally gifted with rugby vision and sublime skills.

The game needs to keep moving for the fans Scrum. 33mins of play in a game that lasted 107mins when its an 80min game isn’t great for any side. Of course the winner is less concerned about the length of the game but WR should be. The very odd thing is we had NH ref’s for the RC and they really put effort into getting the players playing asap.

I heard a joke once OM …. when I met my wife for the first time I was very drunk and lying face down in the gutter….. there she was looking up at me….. 😂 😂 😂

I can’t see Ireland winning it. I’m thinking France, NZ or SA. Id love us to get Ireland in the 1/4 final. If we arnt good enough so be it but I think the ABs would be seriously motivated for that match. It would be ad brutal as the 2018 match in Ireland.

Hi Geoff, some great memories there. Firstly tho I think DC scored 1598 points and his last ever shot at goal was his only right foot kick for goal in test rugby. In the 1987 cup one of my favourite memories was JK tackling the Wales winger right on the try line on the opposite side of the field to where JK played. Weepu certainly stood up under pressure in 2011.
That Nonu try in the 2015 final was very special too.

Agree. Mounga certainly can’t play behind a beaten pack. Won’t ever be a great 10.
DC a one off. Players like him don’t come along very often.

No fist clenching Ken I’m just seeing the lack of STAR 10s in world rugby atm. Lets hope someone emerges.

Top 10 playmakers at Rugby World Cup - and why the Wallabies' young gun has the game's toughest gig

He came on as a sub yesterday. Didnt really have any influence on the game tho. He left NZ too early sadly. I very much doubt he’s sharper than Dmac currently but he was definately one of my favourites a few years back and would definately have been a better option than Mounga had he stayed.

Yep. Worst ABs period for many years. Hehas been the 10 in that time.

Name one game he has “saved us”.I can name many he hasn’t.

Did you watch Waikato today Muzzo? Not quite the same player he once was.

Top 10 playmakers at Rugby World Cup - and why the Wallabies' young gun has the game's toughest gig

No one said they weren’t. Doesn’t change that Mounga is average tho.

Top 10 playmakers at Rugby World Cup - and why the Wallabies' young gun has the game's toughest gig

I think you would need to go to TJ to find an AB 9 that’s played 10 but just not at test level.

Top 10 playmakers at Rugby World Cup - and why the Wallabies' young gun has the game's toughest gig

You rate him how you want to. I don’t rate him. He was terrible just last week. Average player who will be remembered as such. ABs have had one of their worst periods with him in the side from late 2018-current.
