I think some of us we’re getting use to the Super Rugby system of speeding everything up. Unfortunately it hasn’t caught on up North. They’re still Satisfied with long delays and injury time.. taking the wind out of our sails quite dramatically I’m afraid. The SH teams will have to adjust and adapt to the big bosses rules.

The Wrap: Magical World Cup moments and memories that left an indelible mark, and the promise of so much more

1995 RWC final was bitter sweet for me. Kirk raising the first RWC was pretty awesome too. Lomu against England in the same WC scoring 4 tries was very impressive. Especially walking over Underhill.. Lomu! Keith Quinn commentary was just as entertaining.

But the QF against France in 2015 I thought was a very special game. Really thought we’d got the monkey off our backs in that one. Destroying France 62-13 was very satisfying after so many times we’ve fallen to France when we should of won. Good game.

Japan beating SA was pretty cool. Tonga beating France in 2011 was another amazing achievement from an underdog. I’m pretty sure we’ll see a number of upsets this RWC too.

Hahaha what is Eddie talking about? Does he forget how many Pacific islander’s are in the Wallabies?
It’s been like that for a long time.. wasn’t that long ago the Wallabies squad had five that were born in New Zealand, four in Fiji, two in Tonga and one each in Papua New Guinea (Will Genia), Zimbabwe (David Pocock) and South Africa (Dane Haylett-Petty).
Better to keep cakehole closed on this matter 😂

RWC News: 'Losing three biggest academies' - Eddie's truth bomb for ABs, Poms' 'horrendous' fear

Im not a fan of the breakdown, just a bunch of past players sharing their opinion. Aotearoa rugby has a better discussion.

RWC News: 'What a statement' - Goldie lashed for 'arrogance', Cam Murray 'annoyed' by hollow flirting

Haha your Keo & Zels Show is pretty bad 😂 there’s a lot of Bok podcasts that tear that crp out of the ABs regularly. Good to hear you keep an open mind.. A lot of Bokke supporters don’t have your IQ.

RWC News: 'What a statement' - Goldie lashed for 'arrogance', Cam Murray 'annoyed' by hollow flirting

It’s frustrating. Same issues. Same results. Since Irish series, the Boks in SA and even the Wallabies in Dunedin! We can’t seem to adjust our tactics to compensate. Not sure if it’s Fosters selection strategy or just strategy in general.
We seem to have lost our identity over the past 4-5 years. Or we’ve lost the players that we use to have to implement or natural style.. Or the world is now just as good or better than we are?
These days with competition so tightly contested, it comes down to tactics, well executed manoeuvres and creative attacks.

manipulation of a well organised defence is becoming more and more difficult.. you have to think outside of the box and use every bit of your creativity and imagination to get ahead in todays game.. might have to wait for Razor to see anything completely revolutionary, we are in desperate need to keep to our engrained style but combine it with new ideas to help take us forward.. or we’ll only be left further behind on the big stage.

Is seven weeks enough time for the All Blacks to learn, reset and adapt before the World Cup quarter-finals?

Im not emotional. Just disappointed, also frustrated. They gave up cheap penalties because they were frustrated and they became emotional. Instead of thinking clearly and correcting the game plan they lost their discipline.. that’s a direct reflection of poor leadership within the group to refocus the team and discuss the situation. Instead they just keep making the same mistakes and continue making poor decisions the entire game.

Once upon time our leadership would get them all together and say… Oi! This obviously isn’t working! We’re gonna have to get more physical with these bstrds, go to plan B. Keep our structure and shape on defence.. Something along those lines.

What psses me off is nothing is adjusted or tweaked. I know we have the players to do anything that’s required. They look lazy in some areas. It’s not the end of the world, far from it! But imo.. they need a kick up the ars in Germany.

Is seven weeks enough time for the All Blacks to learn, reset and adapt before the World Cup quarter-finals?

My issue is with the All Blacks leadership and problem solving abilities. Or lack of.. In the past we were blessed with key leadership group. Think back to Fitzy & Zinny or McCaw & Mealamu etc always having a strong captain and VC combined with a strong leadership group supporting that.

Who do we have now? I thought Whitelock and Cane with Ardie, Beauden Barrett with his 112 caps would be sufficient.. It’s becoming clear it’s not.
Seems to be a theme when the going gets tough.. Well, our tough go to lunch. It’s been evident that our leadership group isn’t rallying our troops to stay in the fight and create solutions. Was Ardie on the field in Twickenham?? Wouldn’t of even known until you read the team list. Cane was absent!

Yes there was a lot of inexperienced players on there too. But certainly more than enough experience on the field to keep the group together and figure out a plan. Yet they don’t. They actually deteriorate and fold more than anything else. That’s concerning considering it’s not the first time.. Heading into a RWC you need solid leadership. Maybe it’s the lack of leadership within the entire squad that’s playing out on the field?

It’s to late to change it now. We’ll have to wait and see if Foster & Co can drum up enough motivation to inspire this team.. At the moment they look unmotivated and unenergised. Obviously the pride of wearing a black jersey isn’t what it use to be.

I have no problem with it.. just be interesting when multiple backs happen to get injured. But their forward orientated game plan suits a stacked bench full of forwards. It worked very successfully on the weekend..

Especially when the ABs only had 14 players. Good on em!

'Seriously': Ex-Scotland coach calls on World Rugby to 'act' on Springboks after 'abusing bench' against All Blacks

Haha he’s noisy all the time, hard to differentiate. Very squeaky voice

Barrett CLEARED for Rugby World Cup opener

Indeed.. yet Marx was fine. Some are saying he milked the penalty. What about Duane Vermuelen’s cheap shots to the back of Jacobsons head in the ruck? That didn’t get the refs attention..
But! If Jacobson took a knee and sat down.. Then he’d get noticed by the ref, especially if people start waving arms and complaining. See how this can soon turn rugby into a shtty soccer theme, if all teams start looking for anything to get an advantage.. Teams will incorporate penalty hunting tactics. Especially when theres an over zealous TMO wanting to get involved.

Barrett CLEARED for Rugby World Cup opener

We’ll see how opposition fans like it when the ABs start waving arms and yelling at the ref about everything that could be questionable. Especially when it’s in the final and it comes down to a single penalty.. Then they find out after the fact the penalty wasn’t warranted.

Barrett CLEARED for Rugby World Cup opener

As pointed out on the Breakdown show the Boks we’re doing the same as SB hitting the rucks.. If we stop and looked at every single ruck there’s almost an infringement of some degree at every single one of them.

Now the players like the Boks know to start appealing for an infringement.. arm waving and complaining to the ref at every possible penalty opportunity.. this could get ugly if everyone starts milking for a penalty. The game only had 33 minutes of actual rugby. The other 107 minutes was stoppages and crp.. if players start carrying on like soccer players the game is in serious trouble.

Barrett CLEARED for Rugby World Cup opener

I have no problem if we lose to France.. actually might be in our favour. Not sure what the team is up to?? Almost bizarre how lethargic the ABs were or how unmotivated they looked. Where as the Boks were the complete opposite. Makes you wonder if theres a reason behind this massive step backwards?
To perform that badly is almost confusing. Anyway.. Guess we’ll have to wait and see if there was some kind of ploy to go into the WC looking completely useless.

A far from golden generation of forwards has left the All Blacks badly exposed

Hes our future! Watch him next year under Razor.. No Aaron Smith, Christie hasn’t performed to a high enough standard for me. I’d almost say Roigard could be our best 9 in the country next year.

Is it too soon to talk about Cam Roigard?

No such thing as an easy pool this WC. Every single game will be a challenge.

'We’ve got a fair bit of confidence': Eddie adamant Wallabies will fire at World Cup despite winless 2023

Don’t underestimate Georgia. They’re a tough pack. Always one of the heaviest packs in the world. Don’t forget they recently beat Italy. They’ve already mentioned they’re targeting the Wallabies test to prove themselves. The wallabies better be prepared for a hell of a fight.

'We’ve got a fair bit of confidence': Eddie adamant Wallabies will fire at World Cup despite winless 2023

It wasn’t a good look against the Boks. They looked unprepared with no shape and no composure. They seem to lose their competitive edge whenever they take time off.. Now they have two more weeks off in Germany.

I’m not going to expect this team to beat France in two weeks time. No Retallick, no Frizzell and now no Scott Barrett. Also i doubt Lomax will be available.

That’s not good.. Let’s face it we were hammered! We looked clueless.. Very similar to the 2019 RWC game against England. We had no answers and no ideas to get ourselves back into the game, one man down or not. Now with a depleted team I’m struggling to see us get through the pool unbeaten, I can’t see us making it through the playoffs.

Foster saying.. we’ll learn a lot from this? Really? How many lessons does it take? Losing a test series at home wasn’t enough of a lesson? Maybe losing to Argentina at home would of taught us something.. Foster nearly being dropped after the shambles in South Africa. We should be prepared and ready to fire by this point. Two weeks boys. Two weeks to wake up and get ready for France.

A far from golden generation of forwards has left the All Blacks badly exposed

Wow!!! 👍 well done Fiji 😛

'Not good enough': England in disarray as Fiji pull off historic win to emerge as World Cup's darkest horse

Hes the coach. Comes with the territory unfortunately. But the players also have to take responsibility also.. But, it’s the coaches role to prepare and get the team ready for the match. Especially the mindset, strategy & tactics.
Like any big business, when the boss has to front the board of directors because of poor results.. good luck blaming individual employees.

WORLD VIEW: All Blacks suffer 'grisly' fate, 'pummelled into submission,' as stunning Boks deliver a 'monstering'

Makes me laugh if the ABs won. Might get a mention in one article or as aside note. ABs lose we get 4-5 full articles 😂

Truth is under Foster the ABs are toothless. Despite the Rugby Championship results. Against the top 3 teams, Ireland, France the Springboks the ABs struggle. Yep the ABs caught the Boks off guard in Auckland..

But this is what happens when a team fronts up and are disciplined and well organised… Under Foster this team has no answers, no leadership to guide the team on the pitch. Once again roll on Razor and fingers crossed he can put some pride back into the jersey

WORLD VIEW: All Blacks suffer 'grisly' fate, 'pummelled into submission,' as stunning Boks deliver a 'monstering'

I do.. against Ireland, twice in NZ. Against Argentina in Christchurch! Then again against Ireland in Dublin. Then the following weekend against France in Paris.. then again against the Boks last year. Now it happened once again at Twickenham against the Boks.

WORLD VIEW: All Blacks suffer 'grisly' fate, 'pummelled into submission,' as stunning Boks deliver a 'monstering'

I don’t think alarm bells are ringing.. they’ve been rung already over Fosters reign. It’s actually not even that surprising to see this at this point. As I said before get this year out of the way and we start a new chapter. Hopefully one that’s not so damaging to the All Blacks legacy

'It stings, it hurts ... we got exposed': All Blacks alarm bells ringing after Springboks dish out worst EVER defeat

That was a shocker! 21 penalties.. 8 penalties within the first 10 minutes is embarrassing! But it was the Barrett Boys worst game, Scott Barrett is now potentially going to be remembered as the worst AB in history! Only AB to collect two yellow cards that equals a red. Jordie & Beauden Barrett worst performance in black. All the credit the Barrett’s accumulated has now been quickly erased.
If foster needed another feather in his cap of negativity for the AB. Worst defeat in the AB history, he already had that against France in 2021.. But he just improved on it.

Jason Ryan must be furious after this shambles, all his work and effort hes put into the pack and this is how the players reward him. The set piece was extremely poor. If the ABs weren’t really being taken into consideration to take the title before, this display has only confirmed that conclusion.

It was all the Bokke show, all the credit and praise goes to them. Deservingly so, far superior in ever facet of the match. Completely outperformed the AB in every position. Now the momentum is on the Boks side as their fans just have to sit back and wait for the inevitable to happen.

WORLD VIEW: All Blacks suffer 'grisly' fate, 'pummelled into submission,' as stunning Boks deliver a 'monstering'

Take it as a compliment. France don’t know what’s coming. The Wallabies need to throw caution into the wind and start backing themselves completely…

I have nothing to offer but blood, toil, tears, and sweat. We have before us an ordeal of the most grievous kind. We have before us many, many long months of struggle and of suffering. You ask, what is our policy? I can say: It is to wage war, by sea, land, and air, with all our might and with all the strength that God can give us; to wage war against a monstrous tyranny, never surpassed in the dark, lamentable catalog of human crime. That is our policy. You ask, what is our aim? I can answer in one word: It is victory, victory at all costs, victory in spite of all terror, victory, however long and hard the road may be.”
Winston S. Churchill.

Go the Wallabies!!
