To some extent, EJ himself invites negativity by stubbornly refusing to acknowledge and to own any shortcomings. Should he do do that, it would be easier for journos, fans and pundits alike to focus on positives and potential for progress…

France made a similar mistake a few years ago in appointing a coach well past his sell-by date in Guy Noves. It’s a common mistake to overemphasize past successes – especially as impressive as EJ’s – and ignore the more recent track record.

I assume you mean the highest loss / win ratio, number of losses as such would be meaningless. In any case, correlation is not causation.
